Anyone with a phone (apparently Melissa hates Tennesseans, *SIGH*) want to try singing a song with any of her words in it? "I Will Survive" anyone?

That just gave me an idea - could anyone possibly WRITE a song with her mantra in it - the chorus or something - something seeminly coincidental

Like - she askes for someone to sing, they say their favourite song is (whatever, it doesnt matter) by "My Friends Band" or something (something she cannot trace or doubt the true existance of) (we dont want her searching lyrics records or something, looking for a song then getting mad because we "lied to her") Then throw the Survive, Escape.. etc line in it... and sing it to her[/i]

Great spec, SJ. And nice topic, too. I totally agree with what you said.

(I actually had a big long post commenting on your spec that I just realized was pretty much rehashing everything you said and not adding anything, so I just deleted it.)

Edited so it didn't seem like I was saying I was thinking the same thing, which I totally wasn't. Credit where credit is due and everything.

hi this is my first post but i've been lurking here for a bit over a month now...
i think this is an interesting idea that i thought about myself, Arashi. Anyone willing to give it a go if you get a chance? The only thing is that i think the likelyhood of this being thought about by the creators is a little slim...

Holy Crap. The way I interpret this, Melissa is saying that she doesn't want Durga to consummate (make perfect, complete) the truth (the future as it occurs in the Haloverse). Does this mean she wants to change the outcome of the future? Maybe she wants to prevent Durga from bringing the Covenent to Earth?

Maybe Melissa is.. the good guy?

Edit to clarify: Melissa wants to prevent the war from happening. She is sent back in time after the war to prevent the Covenents from learning Earth's location (or some other important info) through Durga, thus preventing the war alltogether.

Edit again:
I was misinformed.

SO I change what I said earlier. Durga is trying to change the future (possibly to prevent the war), and Melissa is here to make sure that doesn't happen.
So Melissa stays as what was popularly thought before: the bad guy.

Indeed. And where, exactly, does John Connor fit into all of this?
