The post "The World Goes Surreal" all the bold letters add up to "The Poli cant be trusted" Which I take as "The Police can't be trusted" unless I'm missing the extra "ce" for police, it just looks like that's a typo in the puzzle. I can't find the second in game ingame site mentioned on deaddrop with the quick overview I gave it.
Who knows though, the story is pretty interesting, and it looks a well done. I give it the vulva puppet stamp of approval. Jetpack

Looks like...an anime ARG?

In any case, non-offensive trailhead! Very Happy

There are a couple sites/subsites linked to in the blog that I've found so far...

Hah! Reading the title registered in my mind as Explanatory Noon (説明昼).

Anyway the concept seems a little stretched, wouldn't you say? We're looking for a kidnapped anime character?

Whereas helping AIs from the future isn't? You could always pretend you lived near Toon Town if it helps. Very Happy

And after all my snarkiness throughout the threads, I would just like to say hats off to these guys for going beyond the stereotypical launch (as of late) (that and for loving Bill and deaddrop) and for putting a unique twist on the 'missing person' ARG. The anime angle may mean new blood being brought into our little corner of the net, which is always a good thing. May your players be many, your critics be few, and your puzzles be hard yet solvable.

(btw - can i also just say how much i love your name, bunnyofdoom?)

Yeah, you have a point there... perhaps I was too quick to judge. We'll just have to wait and see, 'eh?

[RANT]
Dear Aspiring PM's,

If you really, really, REALLY need to do a blog (which has been done to death), do you really need to use Blogger with a default theme!?

Cheap hosting + domain + open source CMS/Blog + free creative template + basic Internet skills = Will not cost you more than $20.

Please show some effort to grab my attention, ESPECIALLY with your trailhead!

Writing long blocks of text on your side does not constitute more effort than reading those long blocks of text on my side.

[/RANT]

Otherwise this has potential.

Blog trailhead=bad,
missing person storyling=enough already,
Anime angle=you have my respect for being creative.

Well, that as may be, Ehsan, but hey - I think it passes, you know? Game on!

A game is a game, it's all about the content, not how the damn thing looks. Give people a chance before shooting down their game just because it uses a blog.

There we disagree.

I don't think the appearance is a problem in this particular game, but appearance is very important.

Alternate REALITY Gaming.

It's not just the content. If your game uses a website for a bank, it had better not be hosted on a free website with tons of pop-up ads, and done with a basic, generic template. And it better not have typos and grammatical mistakes all over the place, because a bank wouldn't.

If it's a webpage for a professional photographer who (in the world of the game) is successful, the photos had better be good.

It it's the website of a professional writer, the writing had better be good.

And so on. There's a certain level of suspension of disbelief that players grant the game, but the "look" of the site still needs to be plausible for what it claims to be.

Before this goes down the all too common meta road, can we try to stick to the gameplay here? Pretty please? Another meta thread can always be started. Thank you Very Happy

Here's a Pony?!, enjoy!

Ok, revisted the blog, there were more comments after my comments on yourstruly's entry, including a comment by yourstruly where he says

I'm just Amused

You get to http://hiru.starvedart.com/yours_truly and there is a single image:

The binary in the pic translates to:
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
every hammer is to be used
every key is an easy pass

which is clickable to reach here:
http://hiru.starvedart.com/yours_truly/surprise_surprise which requires a username and a password to enter.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
The translation of the binary reminds me of a piano, which uses hammers and has keys. This doesn't help us get the username or password to the next site though.

Any ideas?
