in a pervious post Ouroboros said when asked what ship he served on, he answered the The Apocalypso. obviously. One wonders if there are other answers one could make to this question. Two readily spring to mind, of course. The Pillar of Autumn is one and The Truth and Reconciliation is the other, no brainers of course. Just wondering if the live op would take these in stride and if they are accounted for.

I'd try it, but if I managed to get a live call, i'd just get so excited I'd fall back on the script and forget everything else.

Shame really.

Cortana did answer Pillar of Autumn when asked for his ship.

Other UNSC star ships (with histories) to consider.

The Truth and Reconciliation is a Covenant ship. One might try one of the many ships in "The Fall of Reach", like the Iroquois, or some of those other ONI spy ships mentioned like the Lark, I think. I'm sure if you scrub through the books, you'll find lots of offhand mentions of ships.

Wait. your telling me that there is a Covenant ship out there called The Truth? um, isnt the Apocalypso a recon ship? would not an aproptiate set of orders be to. Look for The Truth, Find its location, and report the location of The Truth back to earth? as in,

Seek the truth
Behold the truth
Reveal the truth
That is the law and the whole of the law

Gah! makes....so....much....sence...hurts....head....

The Covenant ship is called The Truth and Reconciliation, and in Halo you have to infiltrate it at one point. Then at another time the Flood overruns it. I'm pretty sure that ship when down with Halo at the end of the game.

as did the 'Pillar of Autumn, get destroyed with halo that is. But you would think there might be survivors of each. They might play a role in this somehow. Espically since Gemini inadvertantly stole my idea ie:
Commodore Gemini, of the UNSC starship Apocalypso

I wanted to be a commodore. Sad

would interesting to see where that went. and how the Flea thought of it.

i figured that idea would run up against something like that. But you never know, the Covenent could have built another one. It just give an accual meaning to the truth that we have not had so far. and i would hope for a good twist in the game like "the PF you all thought was bad was trying to help you all along"

Yeah, I'm starting to get leary of the SP myself. She learned English quite fast, like they talk about the Covenant doing in one of the novels, and the 343 Guilty Spark was seemingly nice enough in Halo until you realized he wanted to kill all sentient life in a 25,000 light year radius around Halo-04.

I think it would be incredibly interesting if someone said they were from the UNSC Marathon...see how she reacts to that little piece of information.

If she presses it, maybe even mention Leela, Tycho or Durandal.

It could be insane. Shocked

I don't think I'd try that (since I havent played the game), but I AM going to try something that will certainly make the game interesting, if the PMs will accept it.

A message from one traitor to another

*claps for hmrpita* Well played, well played! That was impressive!

It is a ton more phun when you can interact more with the game. And you even got to do it without bringing down the scorn and hate of the internet community on your head! Rolling Eyes Way to go! Very Happy

Thank you for your kind message. Just so you know, if I could put a Wink in the subject line, I would have.
I must say, weephun, that if it wasn't for you, I wouldn't have had my day of glory. So, thank you for helping to imprison the Sleeping Princess so that I could help to set her free!
You got a lot of grief for the role you played, but hopefully people will lighten up now.

Ain't this game a blast? Laughing

I am often mistaken for other people...

hrmmmmmph-pita. You wouldnt happen to go by the name Drache too would you? You sound just like this person I met recently on 'Call of Duty'
Sad that you probablly wont be able to answer anymore calls though since you got betrayed ;_;

No I am not Drache. I am sorry she is saddled with a voice like mine. Wink

It's funny, because I wonder how Melissa would react if I did answer another live call next week? Would she chew me out, kick me off her crew or threaten me with revenge? I wonder...
Of course, I don't want to take away someone else's opportunity to answer a live call.

Did she take your number? She may call the crew live next week.

343 Guilty Spark survived.

I'm not worthy

I wish I could thank each and every one of you who have been so nice to me, but I know I would probably leave someone out, so I am giving one more group thank you. I was so nervous (especially when Melissa started singing along with me, since she sounds so good when she sings), but I guess I do ok under pressure. I never could have done it without you all solving the first balloon puzzle. I also couldn't have done it without ariock, who got me up to speed when I met him between phone calls. He was also a great moral support while I was on the phone, standing next to me in the horrendously noisy traffic of downtown San Francisco, holding the "recorder phone pickup" (i.e., microphone) against the outside of the receiver and grinning at me periodically.

I am new to this kind of game and I never expected to get this involved. I really like the communal and cooperative aspects of it, with smart people working together to find solutions and working towards a common goal. I am so impressed by all of the talented people out there. You all rock! Worshippy
