which could be related. BBAE and ACEG are anagrams for BABE and CAGE, respectively.

or if NOT DEAD LAST goes with it, the order of the pairs changes, and one new arrangement is

Hmm, I took it to be more of an instruction (if it is even related), like "it's NOT DEAD, don't use the word dead, use the word LAST instead.

Still doesn't make sense though.
