[OT/Humor?] Yes, it does sound familiar

Okay, so I'm just sitting here listening to the radio while I go about reading on new ILB stuff an all when the song by Missy Higgins, Scar, comes on. Now I've heard it a hundred times before, and it's nothing really special. But then something 'catches my ear' when I hear 'clicking her tongue'. I listen carefully to the lyrics and crack up, it's blatantly obvious that the song is unrelated to ILB (Or is it? Razz) just by the tune of it. So I went and looked up the lyrics for you all. Parts that seem related to ILB are in bold. Very Happy

Quote:
He left a card, a bar of soap and a scrubbing brush next to a note
That said "use these down to your bones"
And before I knew I had shiny skin and it felt easy being clean like him
I thought "this one knows better than I do"

A triangle trying to squeeze through a circle
He tried to cut me so I'd fit

And doesn't that sound familiar? Doesn't that hit too close to home?
Doesn't that make you shiver; the way things could've gone?
And doesn't it feel peculiar when everyone wants a little more?
And so that I do remember to never go that far,
Could you leave me with a scar?

So the next one came with a bag of treats, she smelled like sugar and
spoke like the sea
And she told me don't trust them, trust me
Then she pulled at my stitches one by one, looked at my insides clicking
her tongue and said
"This will all have to come undone"

A triangle trying to squeeze through a circle
She tried to cut me so I'd fit

And doesn't that sound familiar? Doesn't that hit too close to home?
Doesn't that make you shiver; the way things could have gone?
And doesn't it feel peculiar when everyone wants a little more?
And so that I do remember to never go that far,
Could you leave me with a scar?

I think I realized just in time, although my old self was hard to find
You bathe me in your finest wine but I'll never give you mine
'Cos I'm a little bit tired of feeling like I'll be the bad fruit nobody buys
Tell me, did you think we'd all dream the same?

Now, I know some stuff I have in bold seems weird to be pointed out, but let me explain bit by bit:

The Chorus: The first line of the chorus really isn't interesting, but the second one is funny. "The way things could have gone?" We're dealing with a lot of time travel in ILB, and the fact Melissa is trying to stop Durga changing the 'future'.
Second Verse: This was the one that origionally 'caught my ear' when I was listening. Again, first line is unimportant, but when you get to the second line, "Don't trust them trust me", it stands out. There's a lot of issues of trust in ILB. Third line, blatantly obvious. The SPDR operating on Melissa. Fourth line, "This will all have to come undone", is unimportant.
Third Verse: "Although my old self was hard to find", the issue of Melissa losing her memory. Third and fourth line could be Durga, I get the feeling she feels unwanted a lot, and her and Melissa hearing all these conversations could be 'dreams'.

Yep, it's all very silly, I know, but I just couldn't help myself. X3

Same thing happened when I was listening to a song by Bright Eyes.
It goes:

I saw the future the other day...
I was drunk...
In a phonebooth in the rain...
So confused, didn't know what to say.

Let me explain how it is significant:

Quote:
I saw the future the other day...

The unlocked .wavs are from the future.

Quote:
I was drunk...

When I have a long time between axons, I drink vodka at local bars.

Quote:
In a phonebooth in the rain...

It's Seattle and I was in a phonebooth wouldn't you know.

Umm...
