Trout, actually.

That link has always been on the site, though it's easy to miss. You're not the first person who thought it was a new addition.

Lots of people know about the site and have probably talked about it in chat, but this is the first time I've seen a post about it. So maybe not trout. I've seen precious little posted about the online amusement park games. I'd like to see a list of the unscrambled anangrams for myself.

Well, if you take the first letters of some of those words, you can get dsprague. That doesn't leave any vowels for a password though.

Chest of Jewels and the Unscramble game

I was thinking that the Chest of Jewels game was a clue. I know the spec is that the "anonymous" high score screen is a glitch. But what if it is a password or username?

I have gotten most of the same words too for the unscramble game. But, I only got 10 words at a time. I cheated using an Anagram server hoping that getting all the words with no mistakes gave a password etc. But the game just ends. I've played it a few times with no change except in the words. If you get the words wrong, they are just re-scrambled. So no hope for a cryptogtram.

Remember that Dale was not involved in the creation of anything on the Ash Grove website (he had never heard of this place until he "stumbled" upon it in January - see his diary). So, why would his anonymousfame.com password be on this website (do these puzzles have to make sense)? The inability to submit any name for high score might be a puzzle, or it might be a "deadend" in the programming. Last night a few people have emailed the webmaster at the park to check this out.

However, it is quite a coincidence that the topic of discussion at the Pine Barren book club is Folklore and Mythology, and the topic for the word jumble is the same. Maybe a comparison of the book list with the word list is in order? Anything stand out as not belonging? Anything repeated or matching? Just thinking out loud (at work....shhhhhh...don't tell on me).

And if you take the first letter of these words I was able to get the following:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
"Pat Dobbs give up sham."

I have a G left over.

On the first set (posted elsewhere) they had an SG leftover which they speced for Sam Green. Again a G??????

For the sake of continuity, I'll repost kimer's findings:
I may be totally off track. Based on post about DSprague taken from first letters of first set of words, I played around with second set of words. Makes sense that since unscramble game is anagram based, that PMs might be telling us something via anagrams.

From second words I got the following: Abbot, Wish, Mapped and possibly Vug.

BTW: Vug = Etymology: Cornish dialect vooga underground chamber, from Latin fovea small pit: a small unfilled cavity in a lode or in rock

With both cases there are constinents left over but no vowels. (1st: mpwlmgmdsfwr, 2nd: sg)

WOW! Just noticed all that was left from 2nd was SG.... could this be Sam Green the webmaster that is helping Dale with updates and such? Instead of message from PMs to us, could this be from Sam to Dale?

Any thoughts?
