a 404 page with a broken image link that says "HAVE YOU SEEN IT? Keep it to yourself."
The title of the page is "It is missing."

Then again, you get the same thing when you try /monkeylove/ so maybe /dreamlinestate/ is irrelevant.

Um, TL. The idea is to add something of your own when you quote someone else. Wink

Well, I didn't know how to add my comment to a spoiled tag, so I just wrote it inside the spoiled quote.

Dreamline

I think the dreamline text might come from this
Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I believe this is the correct text that flashes--hard to read in blown up screen caps:

First:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
[logging user info
{this.x;this.y}=bw=(x,y)bw_moveBy{x,y)]

Then:

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
this=(bw.Q1||bw.defined=(1.5.0.5){-1.0))?this.css.is:your.one;
this=(bw.nq||bw.undefined)? this.css.left.this.world.in.pain;

this=(bw.Q2||bw.defined=(-0.5,0.5){0.1))?this.css.is:your.two;
this=bw.Q3||bw.defined=(-0.5, -1.5){-1.1))?this.css.is:your.san;

this=(bw.Q4||bw.defined=(0.5, -1.5){0.1))?this.css.is:your.death;
{this.cxl.visibility="dreamlinestate"identity}

Correct if necessary.

googling on left.this.world.in.pain, it appears that it's leftover code from dreamlinestudio.com's flash software. people found it embedded in the original metacortech's flash code last year.

in other words, i'm not sure if this can take us anywhere.
CORRECTION:
the "visibility = dreamlinestate" is old, the "css.left.this.world.in.pain" is old. However, the coordinates, the bw.Q1 - bq.Q4 is new, the other phrases about death, san, one, and two are all new.

even the bw.nq is new. it used to be bw.ns4

This is your one.
This is your two.
This is your san ('three' in Japanese)
This is your death.

Those weren't in the original 'code' snippets.

The Metacortex page title is eyesee.

Hmmm...

Attached is the best screen cap I could grab of the red and green dots just before the screen goes to "identity connection established." The map fades out, the red and green get brighter for a split second--is this a constellation?

(edited to add: has anybody heard any sounds in the pages so far? I don't have sound enabled on this PC, I'm at "work." )

Wolf, I haven't heard any sounds, but hey, whoever's decompiled that flash, does it indicate sound file cues anywhere?

The lone green dot on the screen reminds me of our .thenekodas hint, but various iterations of:

identity.lessonstolearn.net
death.lessons...
san.lessons...
krystyn.lessons...
Q1.lessons...
caesar.lessons...

...bring me no joy.

I have also tried substituting various names for the broken image on the 404, including:

missing.jpg
it.jpg
keepittoyourself.jpg
yourself.jpg

...also with no joy.

Sound

There are two sounds one is the sound of an old school modem connecting (those annoying whistles)
And the other is a clicking type sound.
The .wav files are attached

Morse code? Or something that correlates with the pattern of red dots while the flash is playing?

At what points do the sounds happen in relation to the images changing?

The clicking sounds very much like the clicking we had at the beginning of the intro screen (replete with similar 'code' snippets! Smile), but I am not sure if they are identical.

If it is Morse code, you're all wicked, wicked people. And I think I might have a collective crush on you all.

I am thinking the solution may have something to do with mapping out four points ("one", "two", "san", and "death") on a grid using the coords and equation they gave us. But then we would presumably have to transpose said grid on something. And make it mean something. And I am not even math-savvy enough to be able to tell whether this hypothetical mapping thingy needs to be in 2D or 3D space. And then my brain ground to a halt, and I began to drool.

Gak.

EDITED TO ADD: the more I look at that equation, the more it looks like we have to place a point on a grid at the coordinates given, then MOVE that point the distance dictated by the second set of variables in each instance. But move it in what direction? I don't pretend to actually KNOW nuthin', but shouldn't there be some sort of directional vector clue or something?

Ow, bring back the morse code.
