[SOLVED] The Unraveling Amazing Grace Music

Created this thread for any new findings for The Unraveling website.

Such as mine. On the amazinggrace.html page, I took the text and "cleaned" up the lines, and ended up with the following:

Code:
When_I_was_a_boy,_my_parents_forced_me_to_t
ake_wretched_piano_lessons._It_wasn't_so_mu
ch_the_instrument_I_hated,_as_much_as_it_was_the_t

Notice there are 3 lines that are longer than the rest... also, the H U DR letters that we noticed earlier line up when doing this...

HoUse of DRead? I think there are 150 words, could the number of them be important? Also, there are 2 underscores at the end for no apparent reason.

When I cleaned up the text, it looked like this for me:

The two underscores makes the last line have the same number of characters as the others, suggesting that the number of characters has something to do with the puzzle (grid?)

I want to point out here that the text is not right-justified. There are spaces before the shorter lines, which push them over. That could be significant.

If this puzzle is music related, then it could have something to do with rythm? The single and double lines possibly stand out as shorts and longs.

7 spaces to be exact. could this be a link to theseventhsons?

Here is another look at the text:

Looking at it sideways, they look a little like piano keys, with the blank spaces standing in for the black keys.

Notice that the ones on the left are three lines wide and the ones on the right are two lines wide, except for the last one, which is just one line wide?

If you look at the original sideways you can indeed see piano-keys..

*Edit: removed my code because there is one including notes below

VERY VERY NICE SPOT!

I have labled the keys by note, and I am going to see if I can find anything with relation to the background on the page.

The background has the folowing notes: (Theres a dot after a note twice-as-long note)

DG.BB.AG.ED.

Code:

So, check out the lines that coordinate with the music on the page?

/me is a musical idiot and can't figure that out for herself.

Look at the first letter of those lines, do they spell out a word?

I'm including the mp3 in this thread for all our music-enabled hunters to figure out which keys are being played.

*Kender also has no musical bone in his body Neutral

The D in HUDR (HURD, or whatever other combo you choose) is not really one of the letters for the answer of this puzzle. The D just happened to have already been capitalized. The MP3 starts out on a C note (H).

Nice try, except the keys backwards... Also, the notation makes it difficult to know exactly which line goes with which note. The short lines can be assigned to black keys like so...

b = flat, # = sharp

Code:

When_I_was_a_boy,_my_pare   E
       nts_forced_me_to_t   D#/Eb

Furthermore... the music in the background has chords marked on it.

The three chords mentioned are G, G7, and C. A chord is a set of notes that compliment each other. G chord includes G, B, and D. The C chord includes C, E, and G. G7 is unusual because it bridges two other chords and includes G, B, D, and F. One way you could lay this all out....

D, G-B-D, B, B-D-F, A, G-C-E, E, D-G-B, D
