[SPEC][NEW] www.drdater.com? UPDATE-> dont visit that sit Ok, this is a wild spec here. But, when i saw the G4TechTV coverage of the LA axon payphones, i noticed that all the payphones they showed had a sticker for drdater.com. I visited it on a whim, expecting it to just be a red herring. And it probably is. However, it does have some parallels to the ILB. First, it is a online dating type of service, and dont some of the wav files appear to have people on a date? If you click around, you notice that is a new site that must have been put up fairly recently (a "Pre-launch site"), it talks about being a "countdown" to various things in "Fall 2004". When you go to the sign-up page, you are greeted by an a.i. character to start you in the process of signing up. I went through the signup and registered. Doing so also registers you for a chance to be on an upcoming DrDater reality show. The whole site is oddly vague and empty feeling (but that could just be me trying to put more into it than there actually is). Anyway, i know that there is a way to look up the info about a site's host, creation date... etc. Does this even sound like it is worth investigating?
Edit: removed link due to reports of trojans - visit at your own risk -veen

Warning Just a warning to anyone following up on this possible (though unlikely) lead: while I was exploring the DrDater site my Norton popped up saying it found and deleted a trojan-type virus. So just be cautious (unless you think said virus isn't a real virus and has something to do with ILB).

Try to zoom in on as much of the flash as you can.. It will be a nice place to hide something.
I strongly believe it's ingame. See the attached screenshot. Not very professional, IMHO!
The contact number doesn't exist.

the phone number that it gives in the "contact me" link asks you to pay $2.99 per minute.. I just hung up, of course.. but..
emailing the guy right now, but I doubt anything will come from that.

Quite peculiar. I tried to call the number through SkypeOut.
The number I have to dial would be: +1 1866 3732837266, wouldn't it?

The Avatar maker is hosted here: http://host.staging.oddcast.com/drdaterhost
oddcast is prolly a in-game site.
EDIT: But on second thought.. I don't think so. They have quite big clients and is translated into a lot of languages.

if you take out the "drdaterhost" in that avatar address, it gives another style.. with voices.. if you scroll down in the voices list a few lines, there's one called 'help someone hungry' .. and he says "go to hungersite.com and help someone hungry" ... I went there, but it didn't seem related to anything either...

Hehe.. Just called the registrant.. Hung up again, cause I forgot what to say .
at least I got verified that SkypeOut worked and it's DAMN cheap. I'd really recommend it. Especially for the Europeans. €0.02 pr minute to USA.

Interresting discovery.. "Help someone hungry" sounds quite argish, or is it just me?
