 		I'm having trouble believing that was actually her dad. Let's face it, a Spartan is DESIGNED for those situations. Jan's mum pretty much proved that. Such a bad analysis of a situation is pretty impossible to them.

I also get the feeling "i didn't come alone" refers to her mother being there. You know, that Spartan 1.0 that went WRONG. Either that, or what if he's sent a flash clone?

On another note, we have it confirmed: Kamal's sister is a flash clone. The original sister was taken- probably for the Spatan II original trials...

 		I just hope there's enough of Thin left by Nov 9th so that I can take a dual-wielded needler and pump him full of exploding crystal shards. And throw a couple plasma grenades on him too, tie him to the back of a Ghost, let the fusion core blow, and drive a 'Hog over the leftovers just for fun.

I hate that guy.

Good point! As much as I'd like it to be Gilly that comes to rescue Jan, I think you've got it right and it's probably the stupid_cop. He's not *just* a cop, he's a vigilante cop.

Good info, but I don't think the conclusions are solid. I'm sticking with the J^2 is still alive because:

1. Five guys could happen before DTF- We know in 5 guys 3 go missing. In DTF, we know that one is taken out. That means Baldy and Sonar are still alive to Drop the floor. missing does not mean dead, and it explains how only one has been killed

2. All that still doesn't explain why there is an impersonator faking J^2s death.

I'm pretty sure he's involved in the five_guys conversation, I'm just waffling on exactly where. I think I've got The Duplicitous Body Mover pegged though.

I would say that the Spartan 1.0s were less DESIGN and more TRAINED. Remember, JJ makes it a very clear point that he is 'all too human'. Part about being a human is mortality. A bit of a foreshadow, in retrospect?

The kidnapping of Yasmine would have been far after the original Spartan 2.0 program. Think more of another Spartan program...3.0 perhaps.

As for JJ and "i didn't come alone", I'm sure he knew what kind of people and situation he was going up against. Organized. Ruthless. Killers. Underhanded and devious. What kind of backup would you take along if you were given the choice? Gillie? Gladys? Or someone else...?

I'm just about convinced that five_guys.wav takes place after Big_dog and drop_the_floor.wav and I'm starting to take reasonable guesses at beg_for_death (its probably not going to be what we all really want to hear).

Heh, it would be interesting for him to show up at a time like that. I really doubt it would be him though, do you really think JJ is going to turn to him for help? Unless of course they were already together for some reason, but I still think it's either going to be Gilly or Gladys.

In the books, Chief Mendez leaves John-117 and the rest of the Spartan-IIs to start training the next batch of Spartan-IIs. Still the S-2 program, just another batch of kids. Whose to say there wasn't a 3rd or 4th batch?

I totally agree. And this whole bit about "impersonators"... as much as I'd like to believe it, I think it's a looooooooooooooong shot.

No, I think JJ definitely brought either Gilly or Gladys. But Durga contacts someone ELSE. By the time Durga checks up on Jan,

So the "I can do better than that" which Durga says isn't the same as the "I didn't come alone" that JJ says. So I think both are correct.

 		Mekiwi- J^2 may be dead, but there is still the mystery of who Kinkle shot that got such a reaction out of Jan. I *really* don't thnk it is J^2, which begs the question- who is it?
