theBruce, I need to get crackin' on yours.

Yesterday I got bored and wrote up a haiku, then decided to build a small puzzle around it. Opening segment's in the attached file; none of it should be too hard, but then again I'm a bad judge of what's easy and what's hard.

bad judge! bad judge!

I mean, um.
Spoiler (Rollover to View):
tonight is sped by the
buzzing of brass, drums, bass
all boasting blue skies

If anyone would like me to post a walkthrough, I totally will. It's actually a really cool little journey, with a few stumbles on my part as I tried to crack it.

Well done, Jinxie. That was fun. Even when I was being incredibly stupid about it.

Back in January, I received an envy-producing postcard from Vector, from Hawaii. Included in a short message was an encrypted haiku!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

island in the sea
surrounded by her azure arms
hear the waves embrace

rot25 - generated through rot.flywheel.org (for all your rotational needs!)

Very pretty, Vector!

I was inspired to finally sit down and solve it, after getting to hear his slightly-tipsy barku on XBL late late last night!

People are depressed
by the bad karoke
Songs of doom they sing

The songs of saddness
the post Valentine fallout
Pain to heart and ears

Got a bunch of groans from #uf for these:

Rampant AI Sees,
a friend to the far east flees,
Princess hides with glee

honey is received,
leads us into clever ruse
ALIENS ATTACK!

Oh S P D R,
what an old version you are
so spoke the queen, SPLOTCH!

Honey page Counts Down,
AI from the Future Wakes
but Pious Flea wins.

Jersey and Durga
became unwitting pawns to
E.T Invasion

Spartan spawn named Jan
tried to be vigilante.
Dad ended up dead =(

Surrender, I say!
Haiku, herpes and the tide;
forever in flux.

Alzheimers' last verse,
For those who don't know the plot -
Just ruined their day. Sad
