I feel sorry for the Voice Actor when someone from ILB recognizes his voice somewhere in a mall...

So have we reached the "Empire Strikes Back" stage of the game now? The middle of the story in which everyone we care about gets jacked up in some way? I wonder if it gets better from here or continues the downward spiral.

I'm normally a pretty reserved guy, but holy [bleep]! Today's clips made one helluva nosedive into some pretty nasty-ugly-horrible depths.

*shudder*

Some pretty serious consequences are coming home here... Kamal's beginning to learn the price of the SPARTAN program (even if Yasmine didn't become one, what he's going through is representative) and Jan is learning that violence can boomerang.

I'm NOT looking forward to what Gilly's going to do... I think that combat-stress is going to set her off like a bomb, and bombs aren't terribly discriminate when they blow up. Look for lots of innocent bystanders getting nailed as colateral damage.

I don't think that Jan is going to be the same when she wakes up. And I'm not sure that she has the emotional maturity to deal with this on her own; Gilly's the wrong source for help (even if she can provide it) and Jan's fresh out of other family and friends now. Maybe Jersey can do something, or Durga can arrange something, but they're hardly experts and they're not close family. Jan's going to be a mess physically and emotionally. Look for lots and lots and lots of guilt.

If we get any Rani/Herzog clips this week, I think we should have our hankies ready too. Standish doesn't play well with others, and there's been plenty of time for him to figure out something nastier than an assassin on the roof or a fall in front of a bus.

*shudder redux*

-- Steve needs a drink now. Make it a double.

*finishes listening to all of the unlocked .wav files*

I spent all morning unlocking axons for "five_guys* and I thought JJ was the corpse...

Robynn suggested that it might have been Thin. I had hoped she was right.

Bugger.

Worst yet, Durga seems to be a bit out of sorts regarding some strange transmissions that we seem to have helped send her, and thusly distracted from all this happening before it's too late.

The thought that we may have caused J^2's death, even indirectly, makes me want to cry. Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Y'know, the only way to stop that is to get more mad. So here goes:

Cursing Cursing Cursing Cursing Bang Head Bang Head Bang Head Bang Head

I want to see vengence...and if Melissa/Durga doesn't help this situation--well I'll be very unhappy.

I think that for the first time since the beginning, all the Beekeepers can agree on this one thing: Thin Kinkle Must Die. In horrible slow ways to ruin such a promising girl as Jan. "A Broken Angel."

Wow. I was called away after completing my mission & field report, didn't get to listen to the .wavs until just now.

I find myself numb. I think I'm going to hit that cold one in the back of my fridge, the one reserved for rough times, and call my gf.

You're lucky, though. You've got someone who cares about you.

I came in late and listened to the Durga section first so I was prepared for the worst, but damn, this lot of wavs has really bummed me out. Pretty poor way to go out for J^2 aswell, though I suppose his sacrifice did clear the way for Gilly.

The only thought that lightens my gloom is to remember that under the Back to the Future school of temporal mechanics the future is mutable, and hopefully one day a Beekeeper or one of our descendents will give Thin's great-great-great grandfather a firm kick to the balls. Twisted Evil

... And killing her Dad with the sexy voice!

(Or rather that he killed her Dad, who had a sexy voice... Not that he killed her Dad with a sexy voice... )
