Sexy voice or no (I'm not qualified to judge... I'll leave that to the ladies) Thin Kinkle is the reason folks advocate a death penalty. No remorse. No empathy. It's all everybody else's fault that he has to torture and kill to get what the world owes him. [urk] HANGIN'S TOO GOOD FER HIM! BURNIN'S TOO GOOD FER HIM! HE OUGHTA BE TORN TO LITTLE BITSY PIECES AND BURIED ALIVE! RAAARGH!!! STERRRRRN!!!!!!

Oops. Heavy Metal flashback. Sorry.

Well that's optimistic.

Well done.

I don't think the PMs are through with our emotional rollercoaster. They didn't set up these great characters with all the exposition just so they could all survive happily ever after. Twisted Evil Just think, pretty soon, Earth is on the verge of being completely glassed-over... Sad

Exactly as I would describe it...
While after all this, the death of Dangerfield , and the finale of Nip/Tuck had me in store for some news at the end of the night... I think we can expect something different next week.

[SPEC] I think that Jane and Mom are going to go on a blood hunt for Kinkle... mabey enlisting the help of an old friend (The COP) who if not returning thsi week will return soon.

Kamal is going to turn the tables on adrian, making him comply with his new quest... to seek the TRU7H about Yasmine.

and Durga will react based on our actions today, wich i ahve not yet reviewed....[/SPEC]

But a rollercoster ride it is... a very fast paced, gut rattling, eyeballs-sucked-to-the-back-of-your-head rollercoaster... Sortof like the New "StormRunner" Ride at hershey park... *Kudos to anyone else who has spent the time in line for that 30 second BEAST of a ride.*

Wow, well if the stories of these people are truly what life is like on Earth (supposedly the civilized center of all UNSC space) in the 25th century, then maybe it's not such a bad thing that the Covenant are going to wipe us out. Sounds to me like the human race might just need a push to the old reset button.

What I say is Thin needs a treatment of his own medicine, hook him up to the knife, programmed for ANY thought.

I felt violently ill at the idea of jan being tortured like that, forced into submission, until she isn't who she is anymore. It's one of the most vile aspects to do to another being, to kill them is one thing, to destroy their mind and identity is another.

And I just READ the transcripts, there is no way I will have the stomach to listen to them.

One of the wavs mentioned the fact that she might've died first. Knowing Jan, she would've died of starvation before she gave in. In any case, it's a moot point.

I'd go with some sort of heavy duty restraints and then those three little words:

Random Orbit Sander

It might take a while, so extra sandpaper would be in order.

it is so amazing that bungie has envoked this kind of emotion out of us... this will more than likely be the new death that i remember (Aeris from FF:VII was the one i had until this moment thought about)

the only thing i can possibly wish for is finding him in halo 2 and shooting him with everything i have (but alas, this probably won't happen)...

damn you thin, damn you...

That's exactly what I was thinking as well. This story is now tops on my list, FFVII is now second...Kudos to the PM's for a well written, and emotional story..

that is all...

what did Thin hit James with? A club? I mean, James is a Spartan and there is no way an ordinary person can punch out a Spartan. Know what I mean?

unless Thin = Spartan 2?

"...do you know who I am? I am the bigger dog!"
-Thin right before shooting James.

this could just be a reference to the comment made earlier by Janissary of being the bigger bitch or it could also be a sort of rival between 1.0's and 2.0's.

Just...whoa.

I lurk, and watch, and wait. Without resources to hunt axons, and with like mind of the geniuses who work here solving so rapidly, I lurk. I wait.

I've watched SP be captured and freed, I've watched Dana fret over her lost account (having warned her of this a long time ago, ah plots), I've watched people here who I respect be promoted to crewmen of various ranks, while other friends join the Sleeping Princess army.

I've watched theBruce work hard transcribing axon wavs into script, I've watched Max Damage brilliantly piece together the audio. I've watched us all toil, sweat, laugh, tease, and have fun.

And now, I watch us cry.

Excellent, horrible, terrible writing. Excellent acting. Excellent is our pain, for strangely we've come to care about these people in the future, who we'll never meet, who we'll never know. Connected indeed. Soft, silent respect to the PMs for this horrible moment.

It's easy to make people cry...it's not easy to make them feel like their friends are in trouble, and make them feel this helpless. We cry because of our own pain...yet here we cry truly for our unknown friends.

So I hope that perhaps J-squared isn't dead, despite how lame that might end up being. And I hope that Jan and Kamal will be alright someday, despite how hideous their pain and loss is...and oh how I would hope that when this is over, maybe the timeline would start over and everything would be ok.

Yet that's not what life is like, is it? This world, this portrait of the Halo Universe is very different from the world we see through the Chief's eyes as he fights evil. Here is unadulterated, selfish humanity. Distilled evil, pure hope, honest pain, cruel lies. I never did get around to praising Unfettered Rose for her philosophical take on this tale, and what it might mean to the Master Chief, and most importantly, to us. Her foresight has come to a head here, and humanity is tested now by its greatest threat: itself.

We live in evil and in hope, sunlit day and black night. Yet even at night, the moon reflects the light of the sun, reminding us that evil doesn't yet hold complete sway. So here's hoping the Sleeping Princess feels even more strongly now that stories can and do have happy endings, against all odds...because I'm sure hoping for one now, as well.

And hope is the handhold of the soul. Here's to hope, and vengence. Farewell.

Well-written and accurate. The world they've crafted is amazing.
