I think the question we need to answer, frankly, if you're playing this in-game:

If the AI desires to get Dana this badly, how in God's green earth is she going to take it if we get in its way?

Yeah, but there's only one of Dana, but how much crew is there? She can't do much to us, especially if people are forming teams.

And now, here's what I propose:
We need some way to get in contact with Dana, and when we do, we need to ask for permission to give her up to Melissa. When someone gets a live call, they tell Melissa of Dana's location, then try their absolute hardest to find out what Melissa will do to Dana. Now, we know Melissa won't act right away, so we'll have many live calls in which we can try to get the information. As soon as Melissa tells us what she'll do to Dana, we need to immediately get in contact with Dana and tell her what is going to happen. This way, we can effectively counter whatever Melissa decides to do.

Melissa would be very trustworthy of us after this, and we would be able to protect Dana. Hopefully luring out Melissa like that will allow us to capture her or do something to keep her in place, I don't know.

The only flaw? We don't have a secure form of communication with Dana. If we were to try to propose this to Dana, then Melissa would intercept it. Hopefully something will happen that will allow us to get in touch with Dana.

It's playing both sides. Something we should have been doing all along.
