[SPEC] Not Dana? This is just wild theorizing. I hope like hell that no one posted anything like this yet.
How hard is it to hack a Blogger account? Is it possible that the new post is actually not Dana or Melissa? It seems very out of character. Her tone is always much different, more lively/girlish. This new one sounds like a different person. The PMs would definitely not throw new voices at us for no reason, so....
Could some sadistic soul have hacked her account and made the ultimate red herring? It's quite a stretch, sure, but is it possible? Maybe the PMs haven't noticed the change yet.

I dunno, it was pure sarcasm.
Let's say you're stuck in Japan, with no money, and a more-powerful-by-the-day A.I. ready to go all Thin Kinkle on your ass, all because you just couldn't stop hitting the delete key. All the people who've been calling you a hottie for months are now trying to get you killed. How would your writing tone change?

[Edit] I agree with krystyn.
How would your tone be if someone ratted out your location to a psychotic AI bent on your destruction? I think it's real, but I'm still not sure what it means.

True. It just... seems a bit off. I sense something different. Maybe it's just reflecting the darker turns the storyline has taken.

I'm GabrielBlade in the Blog as well.
As I said there, there are two possible interpretations:
1) Dana is mighty pissed at us for betraying her.
2) Melissa has hacked it, and is trying to encourage more people, who will miss what appears to be deliberate sarcasm.
My view: the sarcasm points to number one, but there's a fact missing: Dana said in a previous post when talking about the betrayal of the SP, that she could understand talking to an AI from the future stuck in 2004 could be.. overwhelming (I think those were her words.) The debate now is whether or not being betrayed herself, as opposed to seeing her "friend" the SP betrayed could cause a major change in that thinking.
Either way, we're not going to know for sure. I'm emailing Dana as we speak asking if she can confirm she made the post. If Melissa has hacked Dana's *other* email as well, we're screwed, because we'll never know.
However.
If Dana kept no reccord of her past *outgoing* emails, then if Melissa takes over, she won't know the way Dana ended every email. (Do you remember?). Keep watching, see if anything changes. The slightest detail could be the biggest clue.

What other email did Dana have?
Well of course something is different...
She's not her normal cheerful self, and it's quite understandable that the change happened.
She'd be mad at The Adam for saying what he told Melissa, mad at herself for not taking the situation seriously enough, and also rather angry at all the people filling up her email with messages for the thing that would like to kill her.
She wasn't going to stay happy go lucky Dana forever... And an empty bank account is a good start for the beginning of Sad and Pissed off Dana.

Of course Dana sounds different. She has been attacked by an insane AI from the future and the people that she thought were helping her turns out to be helping the insane AI and doing what ever she says without thinking. Id be a bit pissed as well. I think that the proper course of action for us is to STOP TRYING TO GET OUR FRIENDS KILLED!

Amen. The game gets pretty weird when we treat it like a game. Forget plot advances, we are supposed to HELP Dana. She isn't a tool or an NPC. Treat characters like they're real.

I think it is Dana. She's just angry/annoyed/murderous because "Adam" (not sure who that is) told Melissa where she is.
Whatever the excuse, Adam's call did not help Dana.

Out of curiosity, how many of us have been calling her voicemail, exactly? Because... Yeah. New communication form?

"Lieutenant Adam" is known on these forums as Zudini . Last week he told Melissa where Dana was in a live call. Melissa acknowledged him on the 404 error page , and also posted the .wav file of their conversation, to which Dana has linked in her latest blog entry .
(Is that enough links, do you think?)

That is the best expression ever. I'm gonna make it my goal to use that at least once a day.

Heh. I tried to warn Dana about a bunch of stuff. Ain't my fault if some other Adam came along and did the exact opposite thing.
