The twinkling stars javascript appears to be standard. There are four different colors of stars which I thought might be important, but the same script appears a this site (google cache only) with the same exact color choices.

Pyramids seem to be the theme...

Dick Clark hosted $100,000 Pyramid

there's the Pyramid of Hellenikon

Djehuti was associated with pyramids and can be found at the Great Pyramid in the Book of the Dead.

edited for clarification

Here's the Javascript file for the twinkling, where you can set the twinkling interval:

http://theunraveling.com/worm/twinkle.js

I'm pretty sure the stars are randomly placed, so are not a clue.

I agree, the twinkles appear to have sped up. I think the interval time between twinkles was change in the javascript...

As part of the email about the seventhsons hack, I got this extra bit about conquerorworm:
Quote:
BTW, I am also still working on the Unraveling website and think I am making progress on the latest puzzle. It sure looks to me like some type of transposition code and I've found that the 169 letters fit a couple different shapes, it's just a matter of figuring out what would make a good base for ordering the transposition.

So my earlier post about it being a transposition seems to be correct. Several days ago, varin and I were playing around with a transposition using a pyramid shape (1, 3, 5, 7, etc - 13 rows, total characters = 169) but we didn't come up with anything. I've played with it a bit more since but haven't come up with anything yet either. (Ed's "base" comment seems to suggest a pyramid)

I'm thinking that (1) the transposition is keyed or (2) it's a double transposition using a 13x13 grid and a pyramid. More to come if I have time...

Try pyramid, upside down triangle or pyramid?

The pyramid idea makes fine sense. But aren't we also being led towards stars?

is it possible, to get TWO triangles out of it? One right side up, and one invert?

I've been trying to arrange it so that it makes a six pointed star (using the inverted and upright pyramids). I'll let you know if it results in anything.

EDIT: I forgot to say... There's no way to get two triangles of the same size out of the letters without overlapping them somehow since there are 169 letters which is an odd number Smile

Image on the page has been updated. I think the triangle/pyramid inside the keyhole means our transposition is keyed. (If this is the case, I haven't been able to find the proper key yet)

Don't know what the horns and tail on the pyramid means though... Confused

The devil made him do it? Twisted Evil

From Hell? Purgatory? Fallen Angel? Who dreamed about hell and wrote a long poem about it?
