ECHO = DXGM with clockwise increments! that has to be the start position

EDIT; Or would be if it wasn't actually DXGY

you mean you figured out how to get ECHO from DXGM? or you're just guessing?

I meant if you start E =D the next two rotations work, but if you look at the edit last letter screws it up. I was working on the guess that the 4 letter groups were the key for the 5 letter groups. I was wrong.

Again, I cut off a letter. That segment should be DXGMS.

yes but what do you mean 'next two rotations'?

line up D inside and E outside, then rotate 2 stops, then find X? that doesn't line up with C outside

Hay are those feet diagrams dance steps? and the names clues to the names of the dance? then you hit the steps in order to spell out something?

Sorry, should have been clear.

To me, CLOCKWISE++ implied one step clockwise, because ++ means increment by one in C.
