Thanks. I meant what they were in terms of Webster's definition of type of preposition. I guess I'm still tired so I can't explain myself today.

You know I just listend to an ordered set of the wavs we have and I don't see a gap available for a new wav. here's the order I have
no_no_no
Dress_uniform
Last_week
Divorced_bureaucrat
old_washington
coney_island
have_some_laughs
sunday_school
seperated
merciful
tearful_goodbye
last_stop

Does anybody see a spot where another wav would fit? if not then I say this weeks stuff is solved.

Also doesn't the sp usually have a header puzzle in there describing the wavs? if so this could be the header describing different propositions. What do you think?

Rani says:

"well this is my day, and I don't know"

So I'm thinking that Herzog says something to the effect of
"in my day, someone ??<something>?? kind of propositon"

Of course, "kind of proposition" doesn't work.

I've been thinking about this a little more, and the way Rani says that, makes me think that Herzog says something like:
"In my day we did know"
So that could be "In my day we did know what we wanted to do with our lives" (for example)

Not sure how this helps though really Sad

In other news...Occams Razor people! I think this will be like the little_brave solve, we'll kick ourselves when we get it. My current thinking is simply that it's gonna be a phrase that sounds like "forty-one prepositions" (or possibly "prime prepositions" though this I'm less certain of). The problem occurs because so many things could sound like forty-one prepositions, and then there are phrases which I might think sound like it but which other people might think don't. Like "whats_your_proposition.wav" (which doesn't work incidentally) I personally think that sounds a bit like forty-one prepositions, but I'm sure some of you reading this are right now thinking "WTF is he on?"

So hey, this post was no help, but I figure with brainstorming, anything could spark off the solve, so that's what I'm doing. It's what the thread's here for right?

maybe this is fill-in-the-blanks, as in "________ SOUNDS LIKE __________",
where the 41 prepositions clue is telling us that the two words are prepositions.
And 10 dashes tells us these two words have 10 letters.

I've toyed with that idea, but I still have yet to find a full list of ~150 prepositions to fill in the blanks.

Does anybody know of any links that could help?

n00b set up a bot that would allow us to test .wav file names instead of typing it into a browser. Very convenient. He also made a list of ALL our attempts (up to a few minutes ago).

Some of these are nonsense, completely unrelated, might be spelled wrong, etc. Keep this in mind as you go through.

http://www.sntreport.com/botattempts.html

This eliminates a LOT of possibilites.

note, that is the list of ALL attempts, but the correct ones were most likely old ones, or otherwise discovered ones, if someone had stumbled on the right one, they would MOST likely have known it.
