I *really* like the "operator" or "operations" theory now since it says "What was" instead of "who was."

I'm not that into the halo-verse, but does anyone know of any official title for a ship's AI other than Operator? I know the crew referred to her as The Op.

the prepositions could be called 'operators', right? so we have 'fortune_operators' or something which sounds like 'forty-one operators'.

dont ask me. i didnt write the hint, puzzle, or script.

applying this thinking, it may be another character being refred to, perhaps one which sounds like yasmine. i dunno. but whatever and whoever, "yasmine" fFits the clue. yasmine sounds like between; yasmine was turned into durga and eventually became the queen ..

bear in mind, herzog is a keeper of great knowledge. I could imagine a script where herzog meets rani, and mentions she shouldnt end up like yasmine. rani says "who?" herzog casually replies "oh, nevermind."

I don't think it's Yasmine. We don't have any actual confirmation on the Melissa=Durga spec do we? I think it's something that sounds like 41 Operators

I ran with the operation thing. Going with context, Herzog is trying to recruit Rani into some kind of covert research regarding the artifact, right? He could also have talked about the operation involving the guy on her roof. And he tells her to keep her eyes open. At least one of the words is related to Melissa's pre-insanity status. (At least, my feeling is that before she was the Queen, she was the AI of a military starship that crashed returning from an operation, with the artifact on board. Er, how do you describe that in one word?)

Completely off track, but, the prepositions are out of order. Maybe the 'sounds like' is, too? 41 = Tea_for_one.wav? or something *shrug* or one_for_tea? I don't know how it also sounds like one of the above, but, worth a shot?
