Here is my personal puzzle spreadsheet. I have a list of all the things I have tried.

Should we be keeping in mind the "sounds like" clue here? So, whatever the name is, it *sounds like* "blahdeblah_operators"?

Otherwise, why include the first clue at all?

FWIW

SP doesn't necessarily know what we know (or SPEC we know), i.e. that Melissa=Durga=Yasmine. At least, we shouldn't assume such. The only thing we DO know is that she used to be called the operator. What are prepositions? They are operators of a sort, though that's more a mathematical term than a grammatical one. *shrug* I tried lots of guesses along those lines but didn't get it, unfortunately. But I believe we should definitely go down the Operator line.

actually, yes, SP does know that sort of thing. SP is sort of looking over melissa's shoulder, as it were. she's been fFeeding us clues, and audio fFiles, all over the place. It is very reasonable to think SP knows as much as we do -- probably much more.

I agree, however, the Melissa=Durga thing is just SPEC right now. We can't act as if it's fact, becuse we just don't know. For all we know, the Flea could be Durga.

The wav title still has to use words that fit in the conversation between Rani and Herzog. He's talking to her about spying and such. Yasmine/SP/Melissa has nothing to do with it other than making the wav available.

No they don't. The wav title could have nothing to do with the topic of the audio clip. It could be two words that someone said as a metaphor for a feeling for example. There has been common key to being able to grasp wav names from audio clip topics.

IE - the name could be anything.

well spoken. I have noticed a sort of trend in fFile-names. not really a clue or anything so useful, but a sort of habit: the fFile names tend to have very little to do with the actual conversation, and are often more a joke or humerous reference.

GAH! i thought i had it with this one: between_operations it might be close because it seems like between is between all the prepositions for a reason, and preposition sounds like operation.

I think "proposition" sounds a bit more likely than "operation." Sounds much closer, and Herzog is still in the stages of "I have a proposition for you" as opposed to "Here's your operation." The Queen is the Operator. The question is, what was she? Melissa? A girl? Human? Sane? You got me.

yes, she IS the operator but still, what we received today was a hint. we are still looking for something that sounds like preposition or between or something and operator is closer than mellissa or child.

BTW did anyone else send the SP emails? I know i sent 1 kinda congradulating her on her puzzle and stuff so i was wondering if i was the only one who 'flatterd' her. And if thats what she even meant by that statment of flattery *shrug*

I sent her a pic with some text embedded... basically said "I want to help you, I want you to help me. Help us. Prepositions? what are you trying to say?"
