Agreed. However, it is easier to find relevant information from a list of facts.

Quote:
An operator is between two values [100%]

Actually there are unary operators that act on one value. (oops) But the statement is still true (I didn't say all operators). And perhaps another:
All operators produce results [100%]

yeah and we have to get this hint to fit in with the other clues that we have, i take it that 'between' isn't really a clue (anyone think it has that much significance?)

so to me it seems we have 2 clues:
1. SOUNDS LIKE
2. SP tells us: "So, riddle me this: what was my least favorite person, before she became a Queen?"

are there anymore that i've overlooked, its no good finding something that fits with one clue if it doesn't with another...

Trying to figure this out.

What- obviously refers to the type of word. Doesn't it suggest a noun?
a Queen- SP has always refered to Melissa as the Queen.
Does the a suggest that it is part of the answer to this clue?

a ________

An Operator
An AI

Well, I hope no one has said this yet, I tried a search, but you never know with a 61 page thread.

I have found the following prepositions that did not make the list:

Despite
Via
Versus
Concerning
Considering
Except
Excepting
Excluding
During
Following
For
From
Amid
Aboard
Unlike
Save
Since
Opposite
Per
Plus
Minus

I'm going to assume those actually are all prepositions, I picked them up from english grammar sites.

Before she became a Queen...

A princess?

Re: [PUZZLE]Oct 8th PREPOSITION PUZZLE STILL NEEDS SOLVING!

From the MAYDAY text:

Melissa wrote:
they said my navigation was celestial

Before she was a Queen, Melissa was...a navigator?

Navigators use...directions?

Those 41 prepositions...could also be directions (over, around, between, above, below, etc.)?

"Sounds like directions"?

(I haven't had any luck trying .wav names along these lines, of course. Mad )

I think I've changed my mind on how the new clue fits in with the previous clues.

I think that the new clue is an explanation of the old clues.

Someone recently said that 41 can represent the letters AI. And if you separate preposition into pre-position, then you could say:

41 prepositions leads to: AI pre-position

In other words, what was the AI before her current position, or what was the Queen before she was a Queen?

So I think the answer is a word or words for what she was before a Queen.

Also, when EXACTLY did she become the Queen? Was it when the artifact was on board the Apocalypso (when SP first met her and could have conceived of her as a Queen?) or is it much later when she crashed from slipstream and landed on ilovebees.com, thus integrating the bee thing into herself and becoming a Queen bee?

Perhaps focusing on when she actually became the Queen will help us decipher this puzzle.

Was she a pawn, like in chess?

(I haven't been following the story closely -- is this an already-found wav?)

Thank you very, very much, usernameguy. Now we can FINALLY stop talking about this silly puzzle. Though I still don't get how a pawn fits into the original clues... Eh, whatever.

So this is it? Cool! Glad I could help.

It was AngriBuddhist's comment that got me thinking. It was pretty suspicious that the SP was suddenly calling her "a Queen" and not "the Queen." And someone else was saying how the SP was telling us to ignore the prepositions and just pay attention to her riddle.

So it seemed pretty riddle-y to switch to chess. And in chess, the only thing that can "become" a queen is a pawn.
