[OFF TOPIC] Halo players....

Just wanted to know who among the ARG'ers actually play halo and who stumbled into the ARG world solely through obsessing over halo 2. I've been playing halo since the day it came out and the system link basically took over my life for my last 3 years of university, needless to say not improving my marks... Besides the fact, I am glad that halo has led me to unfiction and I plan on participating in games to come (if I find time away from halo2)...

PS: If anyone here uses XBconnect, me and my friends would be happy to treat you to a beating... just tell me your XBconnect name (we are rayrayPEI)

I'm in that camp. Except for the taking over my life part. Since I'm married and working, I don't have time to link up with the few friends who have xboxes for a good ol' fashion southern style beat down.

Yeah, I play Halo often. Not that much recently. Most of my friends are losers....they don't play video games every chance they get like I do....

*pauses*

i would not be opposed to taking a beating... never tried it and not very good at the game but still love to have the ground mopped with my blood. I will have to figure out how to use xbconnect first (not to mention find time as I am soooo far behind at work thanks to ILB that I will be doing lots of OT)

First, go to http://www.xbconnect.com/, download the program and set yourself up... then set up your box like one of the following http://www.xbchelp.com/network/ (you will need a router and 2 system link cords). Basically this just tricks your xbox into thinking you are playin system link, while in fact you play online....

I would be a Halo player who came here because of I Love Bees. I am glad I did because I've found it amazing and have found many of the people playing it amazing. I've never been that good at puzzles myself but I do enjoy watching the thought proccess people go through here to figure them out. I just wish I could take more time out of my work day to help out.

Yeah me and my friend are such halo addicts that we opened a lan center in Vancouver WA, we currently have 13X-boxes system linked we don't play online but when you have 13 system linked who needs the internet. We also host tournaments every saturday and sometimes for big cash prizes. (talk about consuming ones life) hehe

thanks, duder... I was never really much of a halo player, but was turned on to ILB by a halo player... and since i always loved RPG, the interactivity compelled me. I think the daboking will learn to love console FPS.mwahahaha Twisted Evil

Halo players

I came to ILB through Halo.

I'm not that great at it (like I said in another post -- I can just barely survive on Heroic, and that's depending on the level) because I don't have as much time to play as I'd like, but yes, hopefully I'll be able to receive some beatings at the hands of people I've met here. Smile

Oh yeah, HALO brought me here. I happily walked right into ILB without realizing the consequences. It's a tad time consuming and addictive. I'm not very good at puzzles so I've spent all my time lurking the boards and following along with those who posses more skill. This is actually the first ARG I've ever run in to. Thankfully, I'm much better at blowing people's heads off then I am at puzzle solving.

Thanks, to the guys and gals here at unfiction for letting me quietly play along. If the ILB Clan will take lurkers, I would love to join up.

I'm a big-time Bungie fan, though I probably played more Marathon 2 and Marathon Infinity than any of their other titles. I did like the Myth series (though I suck at Real-Time Strategy) and ONI was a sweet game. Halo takes the cake for console shooters (in terms of multiplayer, anyway), and is the best of its kind since Goldeneye/Perfect Dark's era. I have loved (what I'm calling) the Marathon Universe, and I really need to get my hands on those Halo books, because apparently I'm missing some big pieces there.

I came here through my main video games site, GameFAQs, where the Halo 2 board was literally abuzz after the Halo 2 trailer went hot at theaters... er, I mean it premiered... anyway, I literally looked at their H2 message board the very first time on Aug 23... so I got dumped right into the entire ILB mess literally hours before everyone went insane.

After massive hours of back-reading and catching up with the forums, I pined to be an axon hunter, but when my chance came, I was unsuccessful.

I think this is one of the best parts about stories, is that they can be told on more than one medium in a given continuity. It makes for a great and powerful story that you can't get from only movies, audio clips, or reading. (And, in fact, it's the ONLY reason I ever played that horrid, horrid Enter the Matrix game.)

My boyfriend has the account (his gamertag: Admiral Shovel), so me and our roomies will be his three guest for Halo 2.
