on the site http://www.perplexcity.com/indexB.html , the second picture where it says one taversen square the old town, its the same address that appears on the bottom of the piece of paper on the origional letter at www.perplexcity.com and before the adress on the origional letter we see emy, and what looks like a d before it, so the adress at the bottom of the paper is most likely to be The Perplex City Academy, One Taversen Square, The Old Town.....perhaps

images 2, 3, 5 and 6 (from left to right, top to bottom) are all the same letter. And i think this has been covered before.

Here is something interesting... This Wednesday is a lunar eclipse. According Wikipedia, an eclipse is an example of a syzygy. Wonder if anything will happen after that...

I don't know, as darkfall said, we have a real live syzygy Wednesday with the apex of the eclipse at 11:04pm. I'm hoping for an email then... well I can dream. Wink

I note with interest that the assumption has been made that the word 'syzygy' (from the Greek for 'yoke' or 'conjunction') refers to a planetary alignment.

Whilst this might very well turn out to be the case, there is another usage of the word that fits quite nicely, and that is a logic / word game invented by Lewis Carroll ( see here for an example).

Interestingly (or not Smile ) Adrian Hon's original introduction to the game back in February contained the opening line 'Through the looking glass we go...'.

Just some random observations.

For a complete (I hope) set of rules and examples, look about half way down http://www.bootlegbooks.com/Fiction/Caroll/CompleteWorks/p8-ogp.html

Forgot to add - there is another reference in the Marketing Week / Guardian advert...

"You've passed the first test stage now follow the white rabbit."

The next bit is pure spec (as if the rest wasn't Laughing ) but if the S. Marchant quote (I had thought... etc) dated 148 AC is equivalent to our year 2004, then 0 AC is 1856, the year Carroll took up his post at Christ Church College Oxford.

I was going to add that to my previous post, but thought it too big a stretch even for me Smile

Going through previous threads, there does seem to be a number of Carroll connections though. Reference to Alice's cat Dinah, an email subject of 'Curiouser and curiouser'. Maybe someone is just a fan?
