Zeller has already died, correct. In the search of cube knowledge, maybe he was the first "space monkey" (tester) of it, killed him in the process, but what happend help the Academy fix the problem and make it usable...

Most of the other stuff has been touched on lightly in the 8th Oct update thread Smile

Sente is from the academy in the old town (and head of project Syzygy) in Perplex City.

Perplex City is not in "this world"

I think thats a pritty far assumption after a long time digging Smile

from the error logs (http://www.perplexcity.com/tmp/httpd/errorlog/) the project had some security concerns. the project seemed hi-security as they had security programs and biometric scanning (again the error logs)

At my guess, its ID passes being interrogated by the system, maybe voice print recog (Tanner/Hendling exchange), but if you check the S Ling/L Ling exchange theres no voiceprint recog, S ling just lets L Ling though... but everything is tracked there (even down to the location of the people in the place)

Quote:
The cube that project 24 was dealing with went missing, presumed stolen.

Sente seems to think that the cube has ended up in "our world"

Im under the suspsion that Project 24 was the gathering of a specialised Search & Rescue team on our world.

Quote:

The letter visible on www.perplexcity.com is on Academy letterhead, but is physically in london (we can see a £50 note next to it in the bottom right image at: http://www.perplexcity.com/indexB.html)

I suspect the IndexB images are photographs from someone in OUR WORLD. Maybe this person recivied this letter from Sente...

Quote:
So Sente has come across dimentions looking for the ???? cube and is requesting our help.

From the email from the end of Project 24, i dont think Sente is here, more one of Sente's reps. he/she has been issued with a letter from Sente and a quest to find some people to assist in the search for the cube

Quote:
Also in the year 148 AC S. Marchant expressed their fanatical desire to hold the cube, aparently an item of great power (http://www.perplexcity.com/2718281828/)

Maybe not the Cube, but he says he doesnt trust anything he sees now, he must hold and use it before he belives it... Maybe the general populus of Perplex City was lied to in the past about the cube, maybe before the Zeller incident (have we got a date for zellers death?).

i think that blurb about holding it in the hands was just meant to get us to print out the page to get directed to the error logs, nothing more.
the path to the logs was pretty straightforward - i doubt there are too many double meanings - esp. at this point in time.

Well that made things a bit easier to follow than 18 pages of rambling stream of conciousness. Very Happy

Has anyone picked apart the image on the projectsyzygy site? There seems to be a lot there. I don't have photoshop, but if someone could slice that image up we can examine each picture individually.
The one that interests me the most is the one in the center that is of motion blur text.

Compare letters

No, they're not the same letter. Check out the ways the paragraphs end, and the blacked out text is in different places. So what is this other letter?

Note: Upon looking at it, they are very similar, though not exact. Maybe the blurry one is just an approximation of the original letter?

One more thing

While I was at it, I cut and sharpened the passport photo. It looks like it says

Anyone concur?

Hm... I think they're the same letter - they have the same number of paragraphs, and the same number of lines in paragraphs (though I also see that some paragraphs end differently).

However, the blacked out text - you just can't see it in the second letter (it is too far on the left). That black blurb of something might just be a part of the image that is laid over the letter, though it did prompt me to check the original letter out. Turns out that if you play with the image, you can see that something was erased on the right side. Or, at least, I think it was erased.

On a side note - I hope this game starts sometime soon (I can just see ourselves going "look, there are exactly 666 pixels in the logo!"; or "omg, 's. marchant' anagrams to 'SCANT HARM'!!" in the very near future :-0 )

If anyone's interested, there is some limited discussion of PS/C on the DJ Source forums (UK based).
