No problem at all! I'll check up on the site every now and then to see if anything's been done with it.

Hey all, this is my first post on here so I'm entirely new, I came by this whole ARG idea form a friend who posted it on IRC only a couple of days ago and have been reading all the stuff on Perplex City.. needless to say I'm very interested already Razz

Anyway, after reading Jay's post, I did some further experimenting and found..

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
taversensquare.com, and also onetaversensqaure.com, both registered using godaddy.com. They had the same creation date of October 5th [as taversen.com], as pointed out by Jay. They are also registered by Domain By Proxy. Interestingly, on a side note, perplexcity.com has a creation date of April 2000! That's a long time ago Shocked

Anyway maybe I'm a bit behind the eight ball still so I'll leave it at that Very Happy

Edit: Okay so I didn't know it'd put the end spoiler tag on at the end of the post for me Razz *removes*

No need to really spoiler this, it's just a bit of spec really. The creation date of the domain doesn't really matter as someone had the domain before the PMs did and they obviously did some sort of deal with the previous owner.

The updated date is usually more important as it tells you the last time the whois information changed.

I said it "could be in-game" as I wanted to addd my opinion. Sorry if it was redundant, but I didn't think about it.

Oh, and great find, CapBBeard! I didn't look for more sites; I guess I just got too excited! So thanks for making sure we didn't leave anything. Welcome to the game! Er...not-game!

Well, I wasn't going to spoiler it but I thought if I didn't, it would've made Jay's spoiler on the previous page a little redundant, so I thought I would Smile

I found it interesting that all three of the Taversen domains had been registered at the same time, in that perhaps the PMs registered all three so no one could come along and start up another site to confuse us, assuming it's in-game that is.

On the other hand, it could just be someone playing around, buying all three so that if the PMs wanted them they'd have to work out some sort of deal, however as they are registered anonymously, that idea can probably be disregarded immediately, although it could still be a random person registering them, obviously.

If taversen isn't a real word [that we can find Razz], I guess I'm fairly confident it's *something* to do with the game, even if it's only someone playing around, due to the whole 'one taversen square' "package".

And thanks Jay, it's great to be part of this Very Happy

I'm confident about this find, though maybe it's because I contributed to it. I'll go about this with guarded optimism.

Now that I think about it, the spolier tag for mine probably wasn't necessary. I just didn't want to "ruin it" for everyone, since I didn't know the definition of that in terms of my find Embarassed

Not sure if this has been metioned before but found a directory of mirror sites for Syzygy and perplexcity.com and on there there was also a mirror site for pareidolia.com. Nothing on the website but a background image but maybe will be part of the game when launched.

He he. check out http://thehuttofamily.com/. Looks like they must have owned perplex-city.com before it was bought off them.

Hello Gambit, and welcome to UF.

However, if you had looked a bit further down the list of topics, you would've found this thread, entitled "[LOCKED] thehuttofamily".

Please Search before posting!
