Thanks! I got the font from The Junkyard. Just do a Google search, and you will find plenty.

Hey, been following from the sidelines since there have only been 2 axons in Iowa and both were too far and poorly timed for me to make it. Sent in a pic from a payphone in Marshalltown, so hopefully anyone interested in central Iowa will get a shot now.

Out.

FORTY-TWO!

Alright, just wanted to tell you guys before I send them off. I went down to the local theater and managed to snag forty-two different people. They were very cool about it, and I even got a picture of the manager (who is totally making Sargeant). Not like those jerks at Target who hustled me out after the second photo. Anyways, just wanted to brag. I gotta send these things of to Melissa.

Target told me they have a "no camera" policy too.

Good thing i took my photo elsewhere...

Nameless, let us know if she accepts. Great job regardless! I wonder if it matters if all the people are in the same photo or if it just comes from the same crew member.

That is excellent.
42, i'd like to see that if you can post it Very Happy

I tried to get a friend of mine to get a picture.
He works in a call center, and i'm sure plenty of people would have posed for the pic.

Though that would be an extremely large group of communication specialists

Amazing work, Pete! So, we've got it down to a totally achievable number.

(And in unrelated news, again I ask:

If you really wanna snag people, tell 'em that they might be on the bonus disc on halo 2. That might be the reward for the largest group. Wink

There was no one really to take my picture at my phone so I set up my camera/laptop station for a remote shot. I also set up a sign on the phone asking the SP about something that's been on my mind...

Melissa's reply:

Excellent work soldier
Submission accepted

Edit: not sure what happened on the attachment. Uploaded again.

Just reporting in... I should have done this earlier, but I got sidetracked.

Operator -

This is Extrasonic. Hopefully this will verify my authenticity as a
member of your engineering crew. I received a call directly from you
at 13:00 PDT today regarding the "sweet_as_sweet" transmission.

As you will see from the included file, the engineering equipment that
I've been able to procure is pretty meagre. However, the digital
image should have sufficient resolution to see my chatter readout from
an incoming transmission at 14:59:56 today from the node
"777-635-4772". (The time discrepancy is due to my current location,
which is not in the PDT timezone.)

-e.

And then I received this reply 11 minutes later:

Excellent work, crew member.
Impressive visual evidence: The equipment you have gathered is a good
start for our next mission.

I've included a (dramatically scaled down) version of the picture I submitted.

(EDIT: typo corrected)

Aw, shucks. 'tweren't nuthin'.

Well, I can't post all of them, but I feel I gotta include these guys. I dubbed them the "Pacific Defense Squad" because it was at a Pacific Theaters and they were just generally a great bunch of guys. Also, the awesome manager who asked me what I was doing and agreed to play along once I explained it. Now I gotta come up with names for all these other people. "Ensigns Rosencrantz and Guildenstern" isn't suspicious, right? Heh.
