Curious, Either there are Two Thoth's, or I got counted twice on the crew roster. Once as 'Thoth' and once as 'Ensign Thoth' (which is awfully puzziling, since I didn't claim to be an Ensign).
Maybe gunnery technicians are usually Ensigns?
And I guess my marine training qualified me for Elite Forces
As I said, I'm there twice as well.

And for the final pictorial report - see the 404 page. It's loverly! I imagine a lot of the pics are not there (esp. anything not sent Tuesday)[....]
Apparently, the pictures of the ugly crewmembers (or the ugly pictures of the crewmembers) aren't posted either, out of sympathy for the subjects. I gather this from the fact that the picture of me isn't up.

We get to hear Pink Floyd on the guitar as background music for the new crew sign-in, the DC Axon Hunters cheer (twice!), the shortest cheer EVAR (Melissa's words, not mine) and oh so much more.
Wait... crew sign-in? I haven't had to log in to any crew area yet; weird.

It's one of the crew .wavs, where there are people signing in with their name and rank, is what she meant, I believe.

Indeed, I somehow missed that in your post, but saw it clear as day just now on the roster. I hope this doesn't mean we're expected to do twice the work of all those other crewmembers who were lucky enough to only be listed once

Corporal Mazian's Phone Hack This was so cool, I just had to share with everyone a neat hack Corporal Mazian managed for the 17:45 PDT say_please axon on Tuesday.
We had heard via an email to Ranger_D that there might be a live call to SF near the end of the day, so all of the SF team was a little anxious about making sure we hit EVERY phone.
As we walk up to the 17:45 (One that Ranger_D had gotten a live call at 2 weeks previously) we saw this:
despairing that we might miss a call, someone said something like: wouldn't it be nice if we could connect to the bare wires sticking out.
So Mazian reaches into his bag of tricks and pulls out a ?? lineman's handset ??
and proceeds to hook it up and intercept the incoming call.
Sadly, Melissa was unable to hear him, and the axon didn't go hot. However, there were a bunch of very impressed axon hunters.
More action shots:

Pericles have you checked the rest of ILB to see if your pic is one of the ones the SP strung up around the site? Random shots are subbing for the regular photos all over the place.

Truth be told, aliendial , I don't know because I don't have time to sit and let a website refresh. I won't discount the possibility that it's there, though; you'll know it's me, if it is, because I am reading Thucydides--it's a great read, and it was just too topical not to bring along for the photo.
But anyhow, I appreciate the comment. Thanks.

Ah, well, in that case I'm flattered. Perhaps I should change my sig to "I'm a very curious girl."
That's exactly it. Of course I think you're real! I know how sensitive you are about that - your refresh rate slows way down when you get existential angst.
But anyways. The lyrics *are* from "99 red balloons" and as spookly relevant as anything in the "Music to love bees by" thread.
I continue to hunt for pay phones convenient to myself in Dublin, and I keep finding ATMs instead. This is what happens when 80% of the population owns mobile phones, I guess.

Lol. That does it -- changed the sig.

I know. I looked it up. Eerie.

I don't envy you there. Maybe it was just tourist season, but when I was in Dublin, there seemed to be very few nice secluded spots where one could have a private conversation with an AI from the future. Not like the dark, wood-paneled interior of my little Chinese restaurant's foyer. She picked a good one there. But it seems that some people have had luck with getting her to call their cell phones (or maybe I am misremembering). Have you tried that?

They're called "Telephone Test Sets" or in the vernacular "Buttsets."
Also, it was Ranger_D's suggestion... well, more of a quip. He said "Wouldn't it be nice if you had a buttset here to receive the call."
To which I responded, "here, hold this" and I handed him my backpack, pulling the Buttset out.
As Ariock said, Melissa never heard me.
Sorry, been away, had the flu.
