I submitted an axon in Milford, Ohio on Tuesday. No confirmation yet, and I'm hoping it didn't get lost in all the crew photo submissions. Guess we'll see tomorrow...

Okay, just popped off an email to Melissa (no picture attatched, didn't want to risk blowing my last picture-sumbission chance - and since I have to head into Kingston tomorrow anyway, I should be able to find a payphone SOMEwhere and take a picture of that with my newly-acquired GE UltraCam Very Happy - but I digress).

Here's the email I sent her, and I'm attatching the .WAV I emailed her as well.

Side note: The serial number was made up a while back, just a little thing for added verisimilitude, and not necessary AT ALL.

RE: Voice Communiques of 10/12/2004 and 10/14/2004

Melissa -

Per your instructions of 10/13/2004 located on http://www.ilovebees.com/hives.html , I have transmitted an updated voice communique to you today at the voice channel commandeered from Dana Awbrey, termed "the Assain" (last known position: somewhere in Japan), including updated axon information for my area of responsibility.

This communique is confirmation of the information transmitted.

Primary axon location is Relay Station Alpha at -------------, West Shokan, NY 12494, manned by myself.

Axon identifier for Relay Station Alpha is: 1-845-XXX-XXXX

Global Positioning Co-ordinates for Relay Station Alpha are as follows:

Latitude 41.974638
Longitude -073.296787

Axon has been verified as active, secure, and able to accept incoming transmissions by Chief Science Officer XStryker and Master Sergeant Ian.

Said verification occurred on 10/12/2004 with relay of Signal Corps call-and-response identifier, information on colony CORAL falling to Covenant advance (with resultant obliteration of all surface personnel and facilities by Covenant orbital plasma bombardment, common term "glassing") and civilian Kamal's reaction to the loss of colony CORAL.

Secondary axon location is Contact Point Beta at 1 Development Court, Kingston, NY 12401.

Axon identifier is: 1-845-XXX-XXXX

Global Positioning Co-odrinates for Contact Point Beta are as follows:

Latitude 41.945078
Longitude -073.997649

Axon has been verified as active, secure, and able to accept incoming calls by myself.

I have also been in near-constant contact with Chief Petty Officer Cortana, Lt. Gilada, Col. xnbomb, Ensign Krystyn, and Commander Mike Was.

Please find attatched to this message an audio sample for voiceprint analysis and comparison with previous voice message.

Please also confirm receipt and analysis as soon as possible.

PFC Walker, 255th Marine Battalion, on assignment to the UNSC Apocalypso
S# UNSM-255B-10359
STATUS: STANDBY (AWAITING RESPONSE)

Edit: Whoops, almost forgot to scratch out the numbers. Silly me.

Coordinates?

Hey,

Does anyone know how to convert a street address into coordinates without a GPS?

I am trying to get an axon here in Jacksonville, FL.

Thanks for any help.

Nevermind Cool

Who was able to submit an axon and now sees their axon in the list for the next week? I didn't see mine. I wonder if they have anything to do with the "AXON UNDER CONSTRUCTION" axons in the list. Does any one else have any insight?

gah! bad spelling makes the alien crazy! AXON not AXION -- AD

In an attempt to get Claremont, CA back in the game, I submitted an axon located at Harvey Mudd College:

Geocode Eagle Address:
34.106868 -117.711981

Street Address:
260 E. Foothill Blvd.

The axon is in a wooden phone booth in the foyer of our main lecture hall, Gallileo. The lecture hall (and the foyer) are underground, but the foyer opens onto a submerged courtyard (Hixon Court) which is accessible from Foothill Blvd. or 12th St.

I expect I'll be able to grab some of my dorm-mates to help enhottenate the axon if it rings on Tuesday. Better yet, the college is currently on Fall Break, so a ringing phone isn't likely to disturb anyone's study hours. Here's to the (potential) re-entry of the Claremont contingent!

I just sent in an Axon in Denton, Texas to Melissa and I joined her crew by driving down to Dallas last Tuesday. Do you guys think she will accept new axons from current crewmembers?

Just as an FYI, some of us are starting to get confirmation from Melissa regarding the axons we submitted - you can find the thread over here.

i posted this over in the other thread but figured i'd make sure it was here as well... i submitted a knoxville, tn phone.

so has anyone that submitted a new axon received any confirmation? the general consensus seems to be no, but i'd really like to be sure. i haven't received any response, so it would make me feel a lot better to know that everyone submitting new axons did not receive one as well.

Tycho, you goof! Hadn't heard from you since last time we had an axon (which was completely bunk, I might remind the rest of you!), but I also submitted a K-town axon. But, you see.. I got confirmation!

Solider,
You are commended for your resourcefulness in gathering this data for me.
I will attempt to construct a communication channel to the axon you
have submitted.
If I am successful, you will see the GPS coordinates 35.883729 -084.154679
listed on the next confirmed broadcast schedule.
Excellent work,

This axon is confirmed on the transmission schedule: it will be called at 11:50 PDT, in the "immigration" block.

Claremont beekeepers, stop on by! Very Happy

New Tampa Axon is up, thanks to Lt. BugBBQ.

It's right outside my workplace, so there's no way I can miss this one. Not even a hurricane could stop me Smile

Good work darkmoonz! I've been following it all for almost two months now. Glad to see I'm not the only bee lover in town! Very Happy
