You could probably import it. I don't know what sites would be able to do that, though, since I've never imported a magazine, or anything, for that matter.

Stock Due: late October

You may pre-order this item now and it will be shipped to you as soon as it arrives in stock. Alternatively you can choose to receive an email alert when the item is in stock. Click the Pre-order button to do either.

hmm, I may pre order one, although I try to avoid that site, too many shiny shiny toys, its a hazard to the credit card Razz I will see what sort of file size I can scan the catalouge at when i get home, but if I remember right its not overly thin.

Checking the magnet online, and noticed something in the description that got me wondering. In the fourth paragraph on the page there's a line that says, "onto its surface faster than you can say 'SGR 1806-20'.". Now I don't know if this is a British thing, I'm in Texas, but what does the SGR 1806-20 mean? Is this another clue or something? Just thought I'd ask.

The Firebox ad goes on to describe what SGR 1806-20 means, i.e. the rather unsnazzy name for the neutron star that scientists reckon is the most magnetic object in the known universe. This matches up with information available elsewhere, e.g. http://www.gsfc.nasa.gov/topstory/20021030strongestmag.html

I don't think this is part of the game...

I think the magnet is out of game. They probably put the cube advert on the other side of the page to it as sort of a joke or red-herring or something

I might order the magnet anyway, they're always fun when you're playing pinball.

Hey there, just doing some research on 'Perplexcity' and found the following on Google images: (maybe interesting to someone although it may be a silly guess)

Google Images

The interesting thing I found was that the 'nuns' images refers to the following but cannot be found as it is a broken link:

www.perplexcity.com/ fark/nunsguns2.jpg

(I then took out the space (btween fark) and still no luck. Is this linked in someone way??? as it is very strange it has www.perplexcity.com as the beginning of the url. or it could possibly be a hoax)

...very strange lookin nuns to say the least! esp. with guns!

Edit: tinyurl.com is your friend - Wishi-san

I too am new here following the ILB coverage… and a little ashamed it took me so long to find this place.

I followed happyjenny52 message from Oct 19th... and tried the Perplexcity Google image search and I found this link… http://infocult.typepad.com/infocult/

There is a section on this page dated October 18, 2004 referencing a "New ARGery". It mentions the http://www.perplexcity.com//2718281828/ link and claims the "- S. Marchant" is in reference to Bruce Ramsay's characters (Phillip L'Merchant , John Merchant, and Dr. Paul Merchant) in the 1996 Hellraiser: Bloodline movie.

Which if you have not seen the movie.. are characters who are "obsessed with a mystery box"

I have not seen any previous reference to this before…

In my opinion this just seems like a stretch… I can't say I agree with the Marchant – Merchant connection… but thought I would share it anyways…
Later.

I have pre ordered the magnetic cube on Firefox, this could be a joke at our expense, but it seems mighty strange that it has not been released yet, maybe it will be released with the true start of the game and come with clues?

Just noticed something int he ad, theres a space again int he picture between 'the' and 'cube', big enough to maybe fit a word in? Why dont they want to know what cube it is?

Time Cube

Aha! Finally, my knowledge in Internet Lore can come in useful in an ARG =D

This is pure speculation, but maybe the Time Cube could be the answer to the question of what the "Cube" is...

For those who don't know, the Time Cube is a huge online running-gag. A man named Gene Ray made a website where he "exposes" a cryptic "theory" about time, cubes, and how modern teachers are "educated stupid" in some freaky broken english.

The man is obviously mentally-ill, and it is not an hoax: Gene Ray even went to MIT to discuss his "theory" (he was massively ridiculed, but did not seem to notice it).

http://www.timecube.com/

While this is pure speculation, the word Time would fit in perfectly in the blank spaces and a Time Cube would fit in the story so far.
