I was gonna post the same site. That is some truly funny stuff he has there. Anyway, I was looking at the letter where the word beofre cube was blacked out and it looks like it's 5 character to me, not 4.

If I were you, I wouldn't Very Happy
Even a room packed of MIT students couldn't convince the man.

Something funny about that 10,000$ is that on a previous version of the page, that this 'offer' constantly changes. Somtimes, it's 100$, sometimes 1,000,000$. If I remember well, he even gets it down to 10$...

Oooooh! I understand! There are 4 different amounts, one for each time in this cubic time world! My bad; I have been educated stupid!

Razz

It's often kinda scary how racist the man is, also. Search for "U.S.S. Liberty" in the page. Start reading. Stop reading. Start puking.

I'm going to reply to this

Its a bit off the London topic, but it is more thoughts about the plot/setting...

Who is the letter to? Who is the one that blanked out the word in the letter? Who published the letter? Why did they publish it?

What is this Cube? We know that Sente was looking for The ____ Cube, but does it really belong to him? What is it? Is it some technological advancement? Religious relic? Mystical talisman?

Of course there are more, but those are the ones that are on my mind the most. What is everyone's thoughts on it?

here, because I don't want to drive that other thread further off-topic (and we should really try to stay organized, because if we don't, in a month or so it will become very difficult to locate information Smile )

Ahem, anyway... What I wonder about is the "indeterminate mass". How could it be "indeterminate"? Is it below Planck mass and can't be determined? Does it float and they can't put it on a scale Mr. Green ? They can't measure its volume, or density, or both? Is it made of photons? But then Marchant (if he is, indeed, talking about the Cube) can't realistically expect to "hold it in [his] bare hands"... Does the mass fluctuate? I can't really consider the possibility of the mass being too large to be determined... I wish they linked to some "vast strides" that Zeller made "in the pursuit of Cube knowledge" - maybe he knew its mass Wink Hm, if it was 4D (or 5D, rather), would it be possible to determine its mass in a 3d (4D) world?

And why can't it be exposed to such a random array of substances? I mean, I can understand liquid mercury... but acetone is relatively harmless, isn't it? And water?? Are they afraid it will rust? Smile Why can it apparently be exposed to anything else - what would it have to be made of?

All of that said, I think our further speculation about all of this is going to be fruitless until we get more facts/clues. We can make thousands of guesses right now, and we won't be able to confirm any of them Sad

P.S. Wouldn't it be funnier if Sente wrote "xxxx Cube" instead?

i wonder...

heres a thaught...
If you look at other threads you can see that the world where the other world thingy is based on is in another dimension to ours, and that means that anything in our world would be mirrored? that may be why the writing is mirrored. If thats not the reason i do think theres more to it than just making it harder to read.
Why is it put onto the page with animan toys and food on as well?
hmmm

Looking at the catalogue as a whole, all the things on that page are the bits n' bobs that didn't really fit anywhere else- I think it was put there just because there was a space"

Felix, please Search before you post, this information was found long, long ago and while it may be new to you, we've already gone through this here.

I hope we all agree the magnet cube is out of game. For all we know it could be this slanted cube or anything like it. I'm getting a hunch that firebox, for at least now, is not what we're looking for.
