Has anyone noticed that the picture of businees cards is larger on the website than in the catalog, and that this reveals another business card, upside down.
Some sort of taxi company ending in R

BTW i have also seen it here but not in this forum. suppose credit goes to benvan

Yup, use the Search function, or read the entire thread. this has been discussed before.

Sry but i couldnt find anything about the business card pictures in this thread, even after searching. please point me to the page/post that refers to it.

select the Perplex City forum in search, then the term "taxi" and you'll see a few posts bar these few going on about it Smile

Been away for a while, just trying to catch back up..seems like nothing new has been found for a few weeks, since the firebox ad - correct me if wrong.

Out of curiousity...anyone got any idea if there is a link between 'water, acetone and liquid mercury' - what would the cube have to be made of for these three things in particular to be harmful?

Also...glad to be back...

i think the best we came up with was :

water shorts out electrical stuff
mercury ruins the look of gold (forms an alloy)
acetone dissolves plastics

so its a gold and plastic electrical cube

but that is rubbish of course cos we all know its the xxxxxxx cube Very Happy

My first post.

Did some messing around with - Nihil obstat scientia

and it could be an anagram for "a bioscientist hint" with the letters l & a left over. so could be L A - a bioscientist hint.

Think i'm digging in too deep.

Got a chemistry degree and cant think of anything off hand that reacts with mercury water and acetone, but got a massive pile of txt books. Think a night of research may be in order..... May lead to a clue as to what the XXXXXX is, maybe. Howver, all are liquids, so maybe the cube is highly absorbent, like a silica crystal. (or a sponge Wink ).

did some research on the Arrow taxis card shown on firebox where all you can see is the telephone number 01494 47 47 ??. Well I didn't find Arrow taxis but the number 01494 is based in High Wycombe and there is a taxi company there called Arrow cars with the telephone number 01494 47 47 64. Coincidence? The fax number on the card looks like 01494 54452 but seems a little short.

Has anyone thought of any significance to the water, acetone and liquid mercury mentioned in the FireBox advert?

apart from water they are odd things to "expose" a cube to...
