 		Why did James James talk with McKasskill
Somehow I missed the whole section of waves when Jan and her father are in the car with McKasskill.....how did they know each other? Or was James James just the driver who McKasskill called to take him somewhere off-line??

Is it at all possible that James found out information from McKasskill about the artifact? Even though we here him tell McKasskill not to tell him anything.

What I am wondering is if the capture of Jan and the killing of her father were related to the artifact.....could the people hiding the artifact be using people like Thin to help cover their tracks?

 		James James made his living by being a "black taxi".

It seems that, in the future, the road drives the car for you. Because he's a 1.0, JJ has the reflexes to drive the car himself, so there is little or no log of where his car goes.

If McKasskill was afraid of catching the "bus flu", then he would want as little record of where he was going as possible. So a black taxi would be the sort of service he'd be using.

How McKasskill found out about JJ's Black Taxi service and contacted him for a job is unknown.

It's not likely that Jan and her dad are mixed up in the same badness as McKasskill. (Other then giving him a ride.) Standish has the artifact, theoreticly... According to evidence in the other .wav files and comments by the P Flea to the Sleeping Princess.
