Possible connection with natural log (e) and error logs?

Edit: Apparently, you guys are way ahead of me. Sorry about that. Sad

Hi all -

I'm a newbie to ARGs. I tried majestic a while back but I never got into it... I'm very hopeful with this one.

Anyway, enough about me. If you don't mind I'd like to investigate this connection between the natural log (e) and the error logs. I did a quick search on the forum and it doesn't appear this has been discussed yet. I'm terribly sorry in advance if it has and I missed it for some reason.

I believe Yanka and a few of you have noted that the hidden url (2718281828) resembles the beginings of the digits in e. Interestingly enough, I noticed that the cache files are also in 10 digit sequences...

Code:

 0595630738.cache        14-Oct-2004 11:39     1k
 1817413596.cache        06-Oct-2004 13:21     1k
 2470936999.cache        06-Oct-2004 13:20     1k
 2662497757.cache        06-Oct-2004 13:20     1k
 4274663919.cache        06-Oct-2004 09:17     1k
 4590452353.cache        06-Oct-2004 13:21     1k
 5957496696.cache        06-Oct-2004 13:19     1k
 6290435729.cache        06-Oct-2004 13:19     1k
 6303535475.cache        06-Oct-2004 13:18     1k
 8525166427.cache        06-Oct-2004 13:18     1k
 9457138217.cache        06-Oct-2004 13:18     1k

If you compare these with the digits in e I have found the following matches

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

2718281828 hidden url
4590452353 in cache
6028747135 ?
2662497757 in cache
2470936999 in cache
5957496696 in cache
7627724076 ?
6303535475 in cache
9457138217 in cache
8525166427 in cache
4274663919 in cache
3200305992 ?
1817413596 in cache
6290435729 in cache
0033429526 ?
0595630738 in cache

I've tried using the missing numbers on the perplexity site but I haven't had much luck.

Do you thnk this means anything? A phone number? A hidden url? Nothing at all?

PS: You can find the first 2 million digits of e here: http://antwrp.gsfc.nasa.gov/htmltest/gifcity/e.2mil (warning huge file)

PPS: I hope I used the spoiler tag correctly.

Thanks, but this was noticed a while ago. There's a quick explanation of the links that were made in the beginner's thread.

Thanks. I guess I read through it a little too quickly. I'll be more careful next time.

Also, it wasn't me who noticed that; it was AnthraX101 and Wishi-san.

is it just me, or is there way to much redundant posting for a game that's barely moving?

Absolutely colin. I encourage people to Search often and especially before posting a topic. Your information might be greatly interesting but often it has already been covered by others if you are new.

If you do think you've found something that hasn't been posted about, then feel free to post, but please try to place it in the appropriate topic related to the subject.
