Correct me if I'm wrong here, but is it even POSSIBLE for the same phone to be answered correctly six times in exactly that many minutes?? I mean, I'm not there or anything, maybe it's a bank of six phones all in one spot, but yeesh-- i mean, daaaaaymmmn, that's rough.
And why we might miss out on crystal_security, something I was hoping on hearing today.

To answer your question, yes it is possible. I've done it before at this same location.

On another note, I apologize to everyone for missing this one.
I thought it was scheduled for later in the day.

There's Two Passwords!

Reporting back from the London Axon (we FINALLY enhottenated one).

We got one of the mixed SP/Melissa recorded calls. When asked for the password I tried 'Reach' twice, and it didn't go through. Than I said 'Coral' and it did. Rogue Element was with me and can verify. So if you get one of the mixed calls, trying both passwords.

I got my call private call 5 minutes early and enhottenated 12:33 intercom instead of 12:38 packbus. There's something screwy going on here...

There's actually a big delay after you answer the question. Not sure if it's processing your voice or giving you time to answer or what. But usually I just say the answer once, then get 5-10 seconds of dead air, then Melissa says "Good, blah blah blah...".

webshift, you are not the only one that has happened to today. Aspmaster, as posted earlier, talked to melissa, but the axon still lists as cold.

While this is good strategy, it may not be accurate information. You have xx time to answer the question, wether you answer correctly or not, the time is the same. So what you may have experienced is the timer running out.

odd?

Weird, I just got my call 8 minutes ago.. EXACTLY on time, everything went smooth. As soon as I said continue, hung up, checked the site, AXON CONNECTED! Maybe something glitched but not here.

could the upcoming rampancy be affecting this (or something else)? because there seem to have been a bunch of reports today about problems with phones that work, axons not being turned on, etc...

I think there is definitely some sort of deterioration going on. Not sure if it's rampancy, necessarily ...

Just as a note of record, it looks like I got the first Axon hot today.
The phone was crappy, and a bus passed by just as she was saying the passphrase. I only heard "..created on?". I was thinking "what date was I created on" but wasn't sure, so I said "Please Repeat" and she said "Good".
Axon hot.

There was a pretty long delay after I said 'Coral' before the message continued, though.

Mind, this is the first one we've ever gotten so maybe in our excitement we mis-estimated the length of the pause.

Just for the record, here are the questions the SP asked the Berkeley Crew. Answers were supplied by Alec and Ace of Spades, with a little prompting. We were trying to keep the answers in an alphabetic theme ("Aujourd-huis, Barbecue, Chester, Downtown") to make them easier to remember in case the next people didn't have paper. Luckily Kirsten was on the ball.

1. What's your favorite word in a foreign language? [Aujourd-huis]
2. What's a good way to get rid of bad luck? [Barbecues]
3. What would you call a horse with 5 legs? [Chester]
4. Where's a bad place to put a cat? [Downtown]
5. What was a game you enjoyed as a child? [Hopskotch]
6. Where do you wish you grew up? [Hawaii]
7. What would animals say if they could talk? [Woof Woof]
8. What's your favorite birthday cake flavor? [Chocolate]
( At this point, I think she stopped and asked "how many do I have left?". Or at least, Ace said "two", and it didn't seem to count as an answer.)
9. What was the name of your childhood pet? [Indiana]
10. What's a good way to cure hiccups? [A scare]

[Edit: answers, though I doubt anyone needs them.]

Actually the axon I missed was in Ames, 44 miles from me. I was going to try to get there, but I had a midterm test that I couldn't miss. I called into work, and told them I would be an hour late (my boss is a really cool guy) and so I will pick up the 13:46 axon. I will be there!

And she probably knew it would be me answering, because I'm pretty sure I'm the only hunter in Iowa.... Rolling Eyes
