 		I would say that the coolest thing about this batch of wavs is that the Marathon idea of Rampancy is directly CONFIRMED to be what happens to Smart AIs. Maybe Durga is worried that she's going to compromise Earth's computer network?

Even if it's not exactly Marathon-style rampancy, it's a very similar idea, and there's something so indescribably cool about the whole concept that I too am really glad to have the word mentioned in the Haloverse. Very Happy

When I said meet, I didn't really mean it.. but it'd be cool if we could go up to like random soldiers and hear them talk about Jan or Durga or something.. or maybe see someone from the corps like Standish or Herzog.

I can see some of the NPC's talking about the characters. It would flip my wig if we actually saw a cameo. But we are assuming that the characters live at the end.

 		Personaly, I think we'll hear(and see) characters at least every now and then...
Some characters are just to big to not be in the story, like Standish... I bet we'll hear about him or even see him.

This story is to well done not to.

Oh... I thought you were speculating a more direct connection with the Gheritt White character. Rampancy? That's been speculated since day one. But good job for coming up with it on your own.

 		Do remember that the only even weak precedent we have for this game, The Beast, had at least one major character overlap as a minor character in the movie. I'm expecting something similar.

Then using the links provided in Archon's original spec as a basis, SP is not part of Melissa, SP is Melissa.
Could it be that the Melissa we know is rebuilt by the SPDR, from the fragments left over from the time jump into ILB?
So in the next few sets of wavs, we may hear Durga go rampant, discover the artifact is a time device, get sent back in time, misjudge the jump and end up on ILB in 2004 where we start the cycle all over again by helping SP send artifact information to Durga.

Or is it something else?
