EMAIL: Agataha Dobbs, Head Librarian

I had some questions that got answered when they posted the artwork so this answer is slightly out of date but for future reference and some insights on the local relations:

Quote:
Dear Patrik:
Goodness, how the time does slip away when you are busy. I really didn't notice
how long it had been since I had answered any Library e-mails, I've been so
busy getting ready for this month's Local Artists' Show at the Library. And it
hasn't been easy either, let me tell you, what with still settling into the
newly re-modeled facility and all the commotionn that's been going on in and
around Aglaura lately. But we've finally gotten everything ready for the Local
Artists' Celebration, and not a moment too soon.
By the way, if you get a chance, you can find out some more about the month
long special event on the Aglaura NJ webpage where there are links from both
the main Aglaura page and the Aglaura Public Library pages. There are pictures
there of a few of the Featured Items as well as brief description of what you
can expect to find in this very special showing. As soon as we get a chance, we
are going to add a little section about Sarah Wyatt, which hopefully will
answer some of your questions about her.
Also, please don't forget about our two Library Fund Raisers this month. The
first is scheduled for this Sunday, April 6th and will be held at the Library
like past Fund Raisers. The second Fund Raiser of the month, normally scheduled
for the third Sunday of the month, has been re-scheduled due to the Easter
Holiday and is now set for Sunday April 27th. This will be a very exciting
event and will include an auction of some very special items. Yes, the "Tree"
painting will be included in the auction and we are making arrangements to
accept either internet or telephone bids or perhaps even both. Becasue that
painting was until recently unknown, we are not certain if Sarah ever named it.
More details will be posted on our webpages soon.
Just between you and me, that auction is somewhat of a coupe for me and the
Library. You may know that I haven't been very happy about that old trunk that
was found in the Library during renovations and how Phyllis Willingham and her
little antique store ended up with the whole thing. If it wasn't for my son
being the Mayor, I would have raised a big public stink about it too. But at
least Pat and that slimy husband of hers got her to go along and donate some of
the contents for this upcoming Fund Raiser. The Library should benefit at least
a little from the materials found within that trunk.
I'll see what I can do as far as an older version of a town map, too.
Thanks for your interest in the Aglaura Public Library.
Mrs. Agatha Dobbs,
Head Librarian, Aglaura Public Library

I received the same email minus the mention at the end about the map. She didn't even give any type of answer to my questions on Sarah Wyatt. Seems Mrs. Dobbs knows how to cut and paste. And who says the elderly aren't computer literate? Laughing

I had a question about older maps of the city (and surroundings). The timegate theory in mind.
I`ll make her keep her promise. =)

Rereading her email to me I did see a slight mention about SW:

"By the way, if you get a chance, you can find out some more about the month long special event on the Aglaura NJ webpage where there are links from both the main Aglaura page and the Aglaura Public Library pages. So basically, read the Celebration of Local Artists page is what she's telling me. Seeing as how I emailed her and said that's where I had seen the info and was asking for more, her answer wasn't a great help.
