Yeah, a quick search seems to indicate she's diabetic... (humulin is an insulin product).

Looks like this may be how Melissa is going to try to get Dana to come to her.

EDIT- And Dana's blog is updated. Very short and sweet.

Spoiler (Rollover to View):
She's coming home, guys.

I sent an email to dana warning her that Melissa plans to put her aunt into a diabetic coma. Hopefully it won't be intercepted by Melissa.

Guys your missing the obvious clues here.

Why would dana be coming home, knowing it means a big danger to her life?
She said she did not want to talk about it, indicating it could be personal.

The flea has revealed that melissa, found her medical records.

Aunt margarret is in a coma, and Dana is returning to be with her.

Reflotron Plus is a 17-chemical scanning blood monitor/testing complex.

Humalin, as I think already mentioned, is an insulin.

[WILD SPEC]Perhaps Melissa interfered with the Reflotron Plus complex to trick Aunt M into putting herself into a diabetic coma. This is to luer Dana home... as is being done.[/WILD SPEC]

Every fiber of my being is screaming, "It's a trick!"

While it's entirely possible that Melissa has recently gained enough of a hold over our world to screw with Margaret's medication, it's much more likely that she's figured out how to fake Dana out.

From very early on in this game, I've always felt that Dana's death would be the prelude to the endgame, possibly even the Bad Ending. (Then again, given the way the recent WAVs have been going, I'm not sure if there ever was a *Good* ending . . .) Remember, a bee dies when it stings . . .

Is there any way we can stop her from coming home?

This can't be good. Melissa was searching for methods like these (vehicle controls, thermal systems, MEDICAL INFO). If Dana makes herself known, she's doomed.

As an FYI, my fiancee is diabetic, and honey is one of the few sweet things she can eat.

cant all diabetics eat sugar? Just after they do they have to inject themselves with the right amount of insulin?
I know that is the way my friends is.

(fixed the link in my post above)

I see what you're saying. It's just that, to me, there's a difference between being able to have honey and being surrounded by massive amounts of it.

I mean, I'd constantly be consuming samples of the product (for quality control reasons of course)... I would think that kind of intake would be hard to keep track of.

Any way...

It's sucky that Melissa is using Dana's aunt against her.

ummm, If your friend is doing that he/she isn't taking very good care of their condition. It's very unhealthy to take insulin that way(it is recommended that it be taken twice a day, depending on what kind of diabetes you have). I have a brother who has been diabetic for 11 years and until 2 years ago he couldn't eat any sugary products without making his blood sugar wayyyy too high.

Recently companies have come out with pumping systems to act like a normal pancreas would. It injects tiny amounts of insulin into the system all day long. This differs from taking it just after eating because it is easier to regulate in the body. This helps diabetics to feel like "normal people" as they can eat when they want..they still have to watch what they eat..lots of sugar still isn't good for them.

Just some information to share.

You're both partially right. I have Type1 Diabetes. Whether or not a diabetic can consume sugar(carbohydrates) at any time depends on which insulin regimine you choose. I have been under both of the plans mentioned -- taking insulin twice a day (and eating only so much sugar at certain times) and taking insulin every time I eat sugar. I'm currently under the second plan, and I like it much more. It's much more convenient. Neither method is "better" than the other; in fact my A1c (blood sugar average) has been in the normal (non-diabetic) range more often than when I was on the twice-daily plan.

Just some OT info, not really helpful to the game.

Humulin is, as mentioned, a type of insulin. So it seems as though Melissa's going to screw with Margret's insulin regimine somehow, drop her blood sugar dramatically, and send her into a coma. Not a plesant thought to a diabetic Crying or Very sad
