I don't have the time or talent, but I'l offer suggestions:

PQI (something you put your hand on and has a electrical moniter in background) vs. Lie detector (I'm thinking of a screen shot from "meet the parents"

New Mombasa vs. picture of a large city

iPod vs. What ever Sgt. Johnson was listining to (someone with a better imagination than I will have to figure this one out)

A briar/wood pipe vs. that glowing thing in Keys mouth

For your comparison, "present-day" spacecraft versus what we're used to. Included is a picture of the Shuttle Columbia (now destroyed) and the "future-present-day" Pillar of Autumn (also destroyed).

Lt. Cmdr Ivans

Took me all of five minutes, not combined into one image, and somebody probably beat me to it, but there's my contribution.

Melissa asked us where we were. We told her we were in a train station. She asked what a train was. We described. She asked for a picture of the train, along with a modified image of what it would look like in her time. Currently working on this, now.

I wasn't sure...

...if anyone would use these two first as the most obvious, but here they are.

The first image was of a military jeep, with a civilian posinging in fron of it, followed by a Warthog with MC posing in front of it.

The second image showed a soldier in a flak jacket and body armor, followed by someone in MC replica armor.

Since the aim is supposed to teach Melissa the differences and similarities, I alos included a "primer" of sorts with the images.

What do you all think?

We had the exact same Idea...I sent the same pictures in about an hour ago. I posted something up about it but I guess sending doubles won't hurt.

I'm sending buildings, chatter, dog = robotic dog (hehe), tv = holo display, concept car = my car.

Let's see what she says.

and btw, Del, I love the rum. The good Captain will never go out of style...
