I wasnt going to bother posting what I sent,,,,,, but low and behold it gets on the honorable mention picture page....
Please god let this mean I am in some way a member of the crew,, if so the give a high five to the ships Gynecologist!!! Laughing

this is the email i sent,

Hello Melissa,

I am too far away from designated axons and public axons to get back in touch with you and the crew at the moment. I hope to remedy this soon.
Meanwhile please accept this picture as proof I am still willing to to help as much as I can.
It needs no explanation!

Dr Swanneh
Ship Gynecologist

I didnt bother trying to leave any suggestions for contacting me as i am far too shy to talk to a stranger on a phone Embarassed

Received a response from Melissa

Finally received a response for my picture:

Quote:
Crew Member—

Your exemplary work on the reconnaissance and orientation exercise has
recommended you as a recipient for this private communication.

*snip*

Thank you for your efforts on behalf of the mission.  From the
intelligence, skill, and imagination you showed in completing the
orientation task, I know you won't disappoint me.

hooray for me Smile

Oh sure, Bob, don't mention me... It was my version of our train, sent in on behalf of all 3 of us, that got in the Honorable Mention page. Razz

No new emails from Melissa, here, but I am an Axon, now, on http://www.ilovebees.com/recipe7.html

you realize that by the PM's showing us your submitted images of a grunt action figure, Master Chief from Halo screen shots, and various other warthogs etc, instead of just fabricated photoshop images, they're pretty much breaking the fourth wall?

creepy

coffeejedi, i was kinda surprised at that too.

All 7 of mine made it somehow! 1 got special commendation (the rum/pills one), and the other 6 were honorable mention.

No offense intended to those who took that route, I was a little disappointed that the Modern Vehicle -> Halo Vehicle comparison seemed to get so heavily recognized, while those who showed a little more creativity/effort are mostly on the Honorable Mention page.

Again, I intend no offense to anyone, but you have to admit that grabbing a screenshot off a website is much easier than photoshopping a picture. I thought some of the vending machine pictures were particularly well done, and was surprised to see them in Honorable Mention instead of Special Commendation.

True! But you cant fault people for going down the easier route, we were on a time limit Smile and lets be honest,,, they are all rubbish!

Given a week or so to create a visual treat would have been great. I am sure considering the amount of people with a technical backgound in this arg we could have had a gallery of amazing pictures.
Instead we got a rushed collection of c&p madness!
(i am so guilty of that) Razz
and sadly i am a professional graphic designer Confused

But fair play to the pm's, by allowing the pics to be other than specified via axons etc, they opened the game up again to those unable to interact by living in a city in america.

/goes back to lurking
