You could shop in the Freedom Tower projected look, maybe pimp out some of the other buildings as well.

Biggest Question

Has anyone gotten a reply to the pictures they are sending? To put it figuratively it looks like we're just shotgunning the damn thing. I want to know if we've gotten any feed back from Melissa.

i'm waiting but haven't gotten anything back yet... it normally has taken them a few days to respond to me, though (for some crazy reason) even if everyone else is getting responses within the hour...

heh.

Sent to Melissa:

Melissa,

Attached to this message is a picture of a contemporary object and a mockup of a future equivalent for comparison.

The object in question is a Synchrotron, which is a device for creating wide-spectrum light (also called synchrotron light) at a brightness many millions of times brighter than Sol per unit area. This light is used in a variety of applications, from Protien Crystalography, to X-Ray Lithogratphy, to IR Luminosity, and various matrials analysis work.

The machinery in the larger picture went operational in 2004. It was one of the smallest synchrotrons in operation at the time, and was housed in a room 100m x 100m. More information on the machine in question can be found at http://www.lightsource.ca.

The insert shows a mockup of a synchrotron light generator as it would likely exist in 2552. With advancements in power generation, radiation shielding, and light generating technologies over the nearly five and a half centuries, the device is infinitely smaller, and several orders of magnitude more powerful. This module would likely be installed in an analytical machine as the light source.

I hope this comparison is useful to your needs.

Hey don't feel bad. I didn't get any reply at all from last week. (She's shy. I think it's cute.)

Might be a bit out there but

From the text of the calls it looks like she is asking about a specific item - in the transcripts - Melissa seems to ask for something that is near by, and asking about it and how it could relate to her/future. Maybe she is expecting emails only from those specific crewmembers - or she is expecting just that particular item.

The text on Recipe6 seems to indicate otherwise.

makes excellent fillets

I sent her an analog of edged weapons. I didn't think she'd like me lifting actual screen shots so I had to resort to drawing the H2 energy swords. Hopefully she won't judge me on artistic merit.

Marine Uniforms
Spunkinator wrote:

Melissa,

As you can see, the present marine uniform is highly unefficient, with
no waterproofing technology and minimal body armoring. Attached is
also a rendering of what the marine uniforms should look like in 2552.
Notice the metal plating and advanced communication gear.

and another one, Body Armor

As you can see, the 2004 body armor rendering is obviously very
primitive and not very flexible with the demands of military warfare.

There are no shield technologies, no tactical HUDS, no secure comm
equipment, and very primitive polarized eye lenses, no waterproofing
technologies, no neural interfaces, and no strength-multiplying
fibers.

The MJOLNIR Mark VI armor is the ultimate amalgamation of the most
advanced technologies, including the Covenant's own. Details are
classified. Please don't inquire as to how I obtained this image.

Special Investigators have a job to do, right?

I'm not crew, nor at an axon -- though I did email a pic of myself and cellphone last week. However, here's what I sent...

Turbo here, Operator.

You asked for a comparison of technology from where/when we're from as opposed to where/when we are now. Here you go; it's a comparison of stealth camoflauge circa-2004 and circa-2552.

The top image in from Japan, it's a test run. They have to have seperate cameras to take the picture, it's really not very pragmatic in terms of field ops.

The bottom image is something I have that I probably shouldn't have. It's one of the SPARTAN-II's in stealth mode, looks like he's sniping on a hill. The SPARTAN's camo is much more advances, and useful in the field.

I hope that helps get you oriented, Operator.

My theme was: "The Enemy Construct". I sent a picture of Bin Laden and an Elite. She should be able to recognize an Elite. Maybe she'll take care of Bin Laden for us too...
