I figure this one's kind of obvious, especially after the pigeon.

Quote:
Melissa,

Chief Science Officer XStryker of Team Long Island reporting for duty. Enclosed I have provided evidence of the ecological differences between 2004 and 2552. The first picture depicts the most common place you get tuna from in 2004; a can. That's because tuna are quite plentiful in the oceans of 2004, and every common grocery store sells canned tuna for very inexpensive prices. The second picture displays a likely place to get tuna in 2552 - a gourmet restaurant that spares no expense. Anyone rich enough to afford tuna in 2552 would gasp in horror to see such a rare delicacy subjected to such inelegant storage and processing. Of course, any common person in 2552 would be delighted to acquire such a can, but there are not enough tuna to justify such mass-processing methods, and the cost would be prohibitively expensive besides. Thus, while the oceanic ecology of 2004 has declined over the past century, compared to the ravaged oceans of 2552 it is an unspoiled paradise, teeming with marine wildlife and a major source of food for humankind.

I remain your loyal Chief Science Officer and will continue to keep you appraised of my research.

XStryker, CSciO
Member of Team Long Island, along with Lt. Siege and Counselor Strifey

Here is a picture of what is known as a "toothbrush"
It is used to clean teeth.

The future equivalent would most likely be a laser, or similar
automated tooth cleaning device. Unless genetic enhancements preclude
the need to clean teeth.

I think it's the gmail account. That's where we sent them last week. (since gmail can hold a gigabyte of data, which is good for images, versus hotmail's tiny size limit).

Can anyone confirm this?

Hello,

Medicine will probably change the most over the next few centuries. The first picture I've enclosed is of a syringe that is used in 2004. Vaccines are usually administered by injection in 2004. Another major problem is that vaccines can be expensive or difficult to make. There is currently a crisis with the lack of flu vaccine in the United States.

By 2552, the method of administering vaccines will probably be different. What Kamal is learning in medical school is far beyond what people in 2004 can imagine. Doctors will probably use DNA-based vaccines using the "gene gun" which is currently being developed. I've enclosed a picture of one that is currently being developed. The DNA vaccines we have now are not in wide use, but the technology shows such great promise I'm sure it will have been perfected by 2552 and will be painless, fast, and not require any additional shots.

I hope this helps your understanding.

Quote:

Balloons in 2004 are generally used for celebratory purposes, but the balloons in 2552 are used in tactical warfare. In 2552 bombs are secretly attached to balloons which are then sent over enemy battlefields. When the balloon hovers over the right spot, snipers shoot the balloon down and the bomb explodes on impact with the ground.
