I am not too concerned with who sends in a request or not either, but I posted so I may get some ideas on how to expand my persona. I also posted so once I come up with something, everyone can help me tweek things. Esp. in the questions department for the conference call, in case I get picked. I'm not going in blind.

So thanks again Fran. I talked to my husband tonight and he is going to get me a Fort Dix map which will have the immediate surrounding areas. There really is a Grove Park at the intersection of Rts. 70 & 72. He can also help me with the disappearing soldiers or the hit&run soldier. Exactly how they might act etc. Both ideas are great, but for right now, probably the hit&run will be best. I can always make up the disappearing soldiers later.
Actually... both are great to put together. One soldier was the "driver", another was the "witness". The "witness" has now disappeared and the "driver" is now confessing because the "witness" was his twin brother who was following him in the other car to the repair shop.

How about that one Fran?

Any more suggestions/help would be great Very Happy

You might create witnesses, but I wouldn't put anybody behind the wheel. It might be a plot point. For instance: what if this isn't a magical thing at all, but one of the drivers was Dale or Bruce? By inserting a soldier into the scenario it would mess up the basic storyline.

Good email and good ideas. The mayor will definitely take notice. I just hope he doesn't check out the site. Ordained ministers should not be hanging around with "that" type of crowd. Shocked Adult language, devilish usernames, and people posing with guns.Shocked
But I guess you are the "good boy" trying to convert everyone.

I accessed your link the first time and I just went back to give more site descriptions and now I'm getting a message stating that there is no website configured at this address. I even went back thru my History, and it still stays the same thing.

Am I losin' it?

The story about the "disappearances" in Ong's Hat area (now Aglaura) can maybe used to "hold the mayor accountable" (i.e., what is the council doing to investigate this hypothetical "portal" in the town mentioning the recent "ramblings" of one of their city council members who talks about a person who has abilities to "grant wishes". As an army? liaison concerned about the possible need for army? intervention to investigate the possible portal (like the way the army/air force investigates UFO sightings) you should be able to pull some serious weight Smile. With the "missing" passenger who got out of the auto to throw up in the woods and disappeared, if the town council can not be more forthcoming with informatiion on their data and possible witnesses (re other allegations of strange occurrences/disappearances of others in the neighborhood (there have been four this year alone!) and allow you interviews with those witnesses (by providing names and contact data - like Dale Smile ) the army may need to suggest or whatever they do to get further orders from their higher ups to "mount" a full scale investigation into not only the possibility there are "strange things" happening in Ong's Hat/Aglaura but the possibility that there may have been a cover-up with the accident that the soldier was involved in (noted on the news channel that a third auto was seen leaving the accident but not noted in the accident report)..... (don't know what these types orders re: higher ups would be called or how the army does that sort of thing - sorry - but bet your honey will know the correct words) .... that's it re my imagination... feel free to use what you think will work and hopefully it will get a foot in the door Smile )

Good Point Re Soldier Dmax (I need to scale up & read ya'll's posts before responding to the auto I get in my in-box - sorry)... Okay, how about: the soldier witnessed an accident, reported via phone to his wife (reason for being late home Smile ) then disappeared. Accident involved Dale. Liaison needs to speak not only with Dale but needs further info about the 3rd auto to speak to that witness (and any other witnesses along with anyone else who might know anything) and lots more info on the "portal/wish" thing Dale is claiming incase the army should become involved (see prior post above). (National Security & all)

 		I'd recommend keeping a tight lid on "cuckoo" talk i.e. the portal or "the wish". Better to go with the missing soldier story and try to get access to that accident report and police investigation files and then follow up for more later on.

I can't imagine the mayor taking you seriously if you talk about alternate dimensions and a race of evolved lemurs or magic portals etc. You can always forward your findings to a Federal division that handles strange disappearances (i.e. our own X-Files type characters) after our military characters get that accident report and maybe access to anyone who was involved that we don't know about (i.e. anyone besides Dale, Diana and Meaghan).

Our faux Feds could follow-up down the road.

One step at a time and keep it from sounding whacky is what I'm suggesting. No one believes Dale and that's because they don't believe in those kinds of things. Mentioning them will just upset them or scare them off. Go with the grain, not against it.

(this is my first post to this board....yippee!)

Anyways..

I would just like to add that it seems the PMs have a well-thought out game. So with the conference call I would imagine it would be thought out as well. I imagine they will take the best 7 of those that apply. But what they think is best I have no idea. They may want to impart certain information only and will choose those who they feel will ask questions that fit this. Or they may just give out that information regardless.

Also remember that there are people outside this forum playing who may be chosen. Since all of you have thought up some wonderful suggestions I'd like to suggest that if only one or two people from this group are chosen that they take a look at ALL the questions here and try to fit in as many of the best ones they can with the character they've chosen. You can ask questions that may seem out of character because as that person you may have other interests, or you can always state something to this effect "As I've looked into this situation, and spoken with a few different people, it has been mentioned...." So while it's outside your characters area of expertise it's not unlikely that they would ask a certain question.

And just for the record... I've already identified myself to the hospital (I think it was) as a cousin. Just in case we're keeping track of roles here.

I have my Masters Degree in Psychology and a Ph.D. in parapsychology, so I would be very interested to hear about the findings regarding the mental state of Mr. Sprague.
Lastly, I am shocked by the recent vandalism on the wall of the brand new Aglaura Library. I am a huge supporter of the Library, and am saddened that anyone would think of defacing such a valuable asset to this town. I am curious to see how your investigation into this matter is going, and I hope the perpetrator of this act is caught and brought to justice quickly.

Danman, I think your letter was great. The only thing is that Diana and Meaghan have not been mentioned as being killed. The last Channel 8 news report (before sexy one) said the identities have been withheld pending notification of next of kin. We know who was killed since we are part of the "plot". But in I think in order to be more credible I won't mention their names in my email.

But than again, I know the Mayor posted his personal message on Aglaura News sending his condolences about Diana's and Meaghan's death so scratch my above thinking. I'm just working thru my thoughts out loud.

GREAT Letter Dan! Faust huh! Wonderful name choice!

Does anyone know who is working on the list of questions? And are we all agreed that all info gathered should be posted and shared? Finally, the seven who attend: do ya'll have recording or other types of devices so the rest of us who are playing can get an accurate transcript of the meeting?

All this will be helpful to know for everyone concerned. I (again Smile) liked the idea of choosing people to attend and having a list of pertinent questions but since that was chunked I am sincerely hoping that the ones who do attend will be able to provide everyone else with a transcript (have the electronics or whatever needed to do this). Do we have any type of agreement on this questions (I am not online as much as the rest of you guys so I don't know what ya'll have come up with - sorry if this is a repeat question). Thanks for any clarification you guys can provide.

It has to be. The PMs made it clear that info disseminated to someone "privately" would become public some other way if it wasn't spread as planned.

And, this isn't like Push or NoahBoddy, so there's no prize to compete for (as far as we know). So there's no need to try to cut someone off to get somewhere first. And that's more fun. Laughing

Actually, I *AM* an ordained minister in real life. It's a nondenominational ordainment, but it's still valid. Razz
