I think Space was referring to the assumption that Sean Stewart might be involved in this.

That wasn't my question.

That's the part I was wondering about.
Edit: Yeah, what Steve said.

Ah. My apologies. As to that, I have no idea.

Well, Sean Stewart was a writer (the writer perhaps, I'm not sure) for "The Beast ", which was an alternate reality game set in the A.I. universe. Spielberg had sought Microsoft's Game Group to create a game of some kind as a promotional vehicle for the movie. Jordan Weisman was the producer, and contracted Stewart for the writing.
So, while there is no concrete proof that this is another collaboration between Microsoft, Weisman, and Stewart, it seems fairly likely (at least to me) -- the most telling aspect being the excellent storytelling which was also evident in The Beast.
Anyway, it's worth noting that on Sean Stewarts website, the title of his latest project is, ahem, "The Glass Coffin ". Hmmm.... what do you want to bet that at least some of that manuscript made it into ilovebees?

I'd be willing to bet quite a lot, since that news item was written over four and a half years ago (before the Beast, in fact), and his latest book was 'A Perfect Circle' anyhow.

Good point, but I still say there's more than a casual coincidence. Considering "The Glass Coffin" was never released, I can definitely see Microsoft working some sort of deal. But who knows.

No question there is a writer involved. WHO that might be is unknown. No actual evidence points to Sean Stewart, other than he's got a previous game on his resume. Keep an open mind.

Well, the evidence is out now!
