Well, I can do that, though I'm still not sure as to the true nature of the Flea. It lied when it said it was a better version of the SPDR than the real one. The fact that the operator killed the Widow, not the Flea itself, is immaterial -- it was the Flea who caused the Widow to be killed by its little masquerade. It then manipulated the Operator into taking on its mission parameters as her own. I'm not so sure about the "secrecy" bit, though, since it's intent on "revealing" as much as possible.

The question is this: why does it want to reveal so much? And most importantly: to whom? If your theory about the Flea is correct, then sure, !attach away...but I'm not sure I buy it. And if it is, in fact, a Covenant program, than letting it attach to anything is bad idea.

*shrugs* Not that the Princess is going to trust us enough to let the Flea kiss her, anyway, not without some other major event happening first.

EDIT: Read the transcripts and noted description of the Pious Flea as a "nasty little infestation", however SP has never been one to be taken literally...it could simply be referring to his handle.

Interesting spec, however, I'm in the "don't really trust the flea" camp. He used the equivilent of social engineering to get the SPDR deleted and himself taking it's place. But he did help the SP from getting recaptured after her release (Melissa has something planned, so we'll see how long she can hide for). So far, I don't think we've see any hard evidence that would make the flea a bad guy or a good guy. The fact that the flea has been around for so long, and we still don't know his motives, where he came from, etc. is pissing me off. I want answers! I know he's got tricks up his sleeves and I think he's going to surprise us all in the next 3 weeks.

The Flea is GOOD. Really!

He didn't trick Melissa into deleting the SPDR to hurt her, but to help her... the SPDR was a dumb program, and was actually hurting Melissa by trying to reconstruct her separately from the Sleeping Princess.

The SPDR wants to reveal the truth about the artifact to the good guys... he's friends with the Sleeping Princess and helps her avoid capture... he's not dumb, but a completely misunderstood bug... he's on our side!

He's the SP's Prince Charming, but she doesn't know it yet. Just like kissing a frog turns it into a prince, we've got to convince the Sleeping Princess to !attach with the Pious Flea. He's the only one who can unite the Sleeping Princess and Melissa and Durga. He's the only one who can save Earth AND Dana AND Aunt Margaret by helping the SP gain control.

So, please go to the polls, and vote for the Flea to !attach to the Sleeping Princess.

The problem is, when the Pious Flea first tried to put the moves on our dear Princess, she reacted with something like, "eww, I know what happens to girls you kiss!"

(And recognize that I'm just playing devil's advocate, I'm not saying your idea is bad, actually, I quite like it, I'm just very very skeptical given the uncertain nature of the PF and all that's at stake)

Maybe someone who gets a live call from the SP (HINT HINT) can ask her, "so, Ms. Princess, what DOES happens to girls he kisses?"

Hello all,
There is always a solution to a problem, although the best solution is not always the most obvious. The solution in this case is to assist Dana while at the same time NOT harm the Sleeping Princess(SP). Dana's objective is to neutralize the SP, or she faces the consequences of having Melissa (the Operator, the Queen) harm Aunt Margaret. In order to achieve both objectives (neutralize the SP, and not have Aunt Margaret hurt)we need only provide Dana with a way to combine the SP with the Pious Flea. Thus the SP would be neutralized (she would not exist in the same form), and Dana would suceed, and we will be able to retain the SP's help and services.

In order to do this, WE (EVERYONE on this forum, in the wiki blogs, chat rooms, and other blogs) need to e-mail Dana( danatwingSPLATgmail.com ) and provide her with the solution. Perhaps the best way to do this is to tell Dana to communicate with the SP in the same way that we have been communicating with her. She should send, via e-mail, pictures with messages in them to the SP and convience her to merge with the Pious Flea. If Dana can do this then the new entity (Pious Flea + Sleeping Princess = Pious Princess or Sleeping Flea??) might be able to work with Melissa in order to repair the AI, and allow Melissa to complete her mission.

So taking my own tip here is the e-mail that I sent to Dana. You may use any part of this if you wish.

Try to make it seem like a game as she enjoys games and plays them frequently with the crew.

If she does not comply and merge with the Pious Flea, tell her that you will be forced to remove, eliminate, delete, purge, or cut and NOT paste her out of the system.
