embedded images and wavs

Hi y'all puzzle solvers,
Every time the puzzles come around I have to wait for other people to post the embedded wavs and images. What software can/do you use for extracting them?

Cheers.

try looking at the arg player tutorial:
http://www.unfiction.com/dev/tutorial/
more specifically, the destegging, and see if that helps.

stegging requires passwords, and we don't seem to need those. I thought people were extracting by just opening images in notepad or something like that, where added text is real obvious.

The images are easy. You can either open the picture in a text editor and find the hidden text, or if you run a *nix based OS you can open up a console and type: strings <path to image> and it will give you all of the lines of text that could be considered readable.

For hidden wavs, I have no idea. I'd like to know that myself.

I know how to find the hidden text.. what I don't know is how to get at an image or wav which is embedded in an image. I read the steg page a while back - but they're not stegged.
