[PUZZLE] To the AI's !!

Well, I thought I'd try something a little different to make contact. I put a puzzle in one of my pictures from the picture puzzle and sent it off to Melissa/Whoever. Hopefully it will lead to a way we can leave more complicated graphics, messages etc. Or probably, the PM's will not notice it at all Wink

But I kind of suck at puzzles, and I could use help making sure it works, and if you get the answer(s) then maybe you could help me add to the message...

It's not a very hard puzzle, but I figure they (PM's) don't have the thousands of people we have to work on them Smile It was just a nod of appreciation. But it got me thinking, if people would like to work on a harder puzzle to send, I'd totally be down for that!

Second Time

Posted the same puzzle in my latest contribution (past/present). I tried to make it much more obvious for them that there was something there this time... Wink

We'll see.

ok, i'll ask. uhm.. what's the puzzle? Am i even looking at the right image? lookcloser.jpg, right?

nice portrait, btw. whoever took it had a clue.

but as fFor puzzles, i see nothing at all out of the ordinary. so i guess that'd be my fFirst critique: too subtle.

PM's don't look!

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

I found mornington's latest contribution to the PM's under this thread... http://forums.unfiction.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=90504&highlight=#90504

and the text on the right looked like base64, so I find an online decoder, and type in the text, guessing I's i's and lowercase L's ... and get something close to "square one internet / yourname" (which i then go back and tweak my I's to L's and L's to I's until it matches.

the original code is c3F1YXJlIG9uZSBpbnRlcm5ldCAvIHlvdXJuYW1l .

so it's not a checkbox, it's a square.

at which point I run out of ideas

tried variations on http://www.square1.net/sleepingprincess to no avail. http://www.squareone.net/ is a squatter's placeholder so yields nothing at all.

anyway, i guess it's back to the bees now? fFun mini game, tho. anyone have any ideas?

Spoiler (Rollover to View):

Think I got it:

http://www.squareoneinternet.com/melissa.html
(a 777 graphic)

http://www.squareoneinternet.com/sleepingprincess.html
(a red balloon)

http://www.squareoneinternet.com/piousflea.html
origins>>!reveal>friends

Perhaps more? I tried others (spdr.html, spider.html, dana.html, danatwing.html, etc. to no avail).

Solved?

Doing a view-source on the various pages reveals messages to the characters as well.

Yes, solved!

Yes solved! Just trying to get their attention. I thought if they acknowledged this we could try more complex puzzles. But so far... Smile

Hey, thanks to Mr. Beefy for giving me some tips....

Also, if anyone has any other characters or updated messages they'd like to put in, I'd be up for that too. Also, if anyone has more complex puzzles, I still think it would be fun to try.

Anyway, thanks for trying it out. Wink

Riddles are not quite puzzles

I put a riddle for the Sleeping Princess in the photos I sent to Melissa, but seeing as they didn't go up on the site, the SP probally didn't see it either.
