Alright, let me get something straight. The ILB clan is not about Hardcore people in the game (Ones that answer 30 phonecalls a week or that are on the 'crew'), but it IS about hardcore followers of the ILB saga that take an active part in the storytelling. That doesn't mean you have to be on the IRC chat to become a part of the clan, but it does mean we would prefer you to have to ILB knowhow. Why? Because, as it has been stated, we want a clan with people we know and have something in common with. That we have 'fought' beside out on the streets, be it in the U.S. or elsewhere. I, for one, am Australian, but I still took an active part in the telling of the story, and even went as far as getting my own Axon for this week. That is what we want this clan to be about.

I like Brain Ninjas. I think Bungie would get a kick out of it as well.

My gamertag is "Kbach"

My GamerTag is Alpha Gray.

It was my very first Profile name when I played Halo. I selected a Gray character, and decided I was the first. Smile Obviously, I was not, but at the time it seemed cute.

Shutup.

Feel free to add me to your friends list. I play Ghost Recon, Mech Assault, and Crimson Skies online... send me a friend invite and I'll return the favor by tomorrow (for anyone on here).

I'm looking forward to playing halo 2 with youguys. I only hope some of you will suck as much as I do :-/

I'm ok at single player, but in MP at LAN parties i frequently get 6th or 7th out of 8. Hopefully that will improve Rolling Eyes

Looks like its gonna be the Brain Ninjas. [/list]

I don't care what we call ourselves, but it pisses me off that some bitch rock "stars" and celebrities get to play Halo 2 before I do, so we better be able to whoop up on them.

How about S.E.R.E. (Survive Evade Resist Escape)

That would be a great SUBtitle, or clan motto or or something.

I like the idea of the motto or subtitle...

and Brain Ninjas sounds rather cool as well...

Brain Ninjas
Survive. Evade. Resist. Escape.

works for me.

gamertag1: tsioc

gamertag2: thin kinkle

I know, I know... but it's there. so... maybe it'll inspire you to want to take me out in the most brutal way possible. if so, HELLS YEAH!

let's take it to the sticks

Brain Ninja's seems very popular. As in, 90% from what I hear. I like Brain Ninja's too, myself. If we get a whole bunch of people saying brain ninja's, I think we'll make it official.

My vote goes for Brain Ninjas. I honestly couldn't think of a more distinguished group of people to play Halo 2 with, and I'm really looking forward to it.

I can see it now:

"Fe0r t3h 1337 Brain Ninjas !!1111one" Laughing

For some more:
Pious Going on Obsessed Fleas (PGOF)
Section 5 (S5)
Rampant AIs (r.AI)
ILB (short and to the point)
J^2
Spartan 1.0/1.1 (S1.0/S1.1; either one)
SPDR
Knights of Hiigara (KoH; shameless advertisement Wink )

Perhaps a main acronym, followed by a second one, to show the faction? Like this:
ILB:<insert acronym here>-<insert username here>
For example:
ILB:S1.1-Starblade

If it won't fit, then just S1.1-Starblade

EDIT: BTW, my gamertag is always Starblade.

From what I hear, in Halo 2 Online, you have to use your gamertag as your playername. So unless you actually registered "[ILB] Starblade" as your XBL gamertag... you'd be out of luck. Since most of us already have gamertags, I don't think we will be using clan tags, unless Bungie has a system that identifies your clan automatically.

I'd be willing to venture a guess that Halo 2 uses clan emblems in place of clan tags. That way everyone has a visual identification of their clan membership without having to register new gamertags for XBL.

There is a nice little clot of information about how clans work at http://www.gigex.com/xbox/halo2/article.asp?article_id=7567&game_article_id=300&source=00001&section=news.

I double checked and it is correct that clans have a maximum limit of 100 people. So maybe if we have an overfilled clan, we can also have a "Team Jersey" or something. Or maybe we could split it up by region. For example we could say Team Jersey is for everyone located east of the mississippi river, and Brain Ninjas for the west. The reason i suggest this is that it will, in general, be conducive to lower latency and better pings.

Also, even if we *could* all fit into one big clan, I sorta like the idea of 30-40 people in a clan better than 100 or so. Makes it more close-knit.
Also, it increases the likelyhood that you will be fighting alongside somebody you met while axon-hunting, which i think is the whole point of these clans, no?

Only problem is, I don't know where overseas players would fit in Sad And i hate to be the kind of person who excludes you overseas peeps.
