Beano,

can you indicate which bit of the skyline is the wigwam, cos I can't make it out (old eyes though)? Smile

Zoom in to the top left of the skyline, use the silhouette of the buildings wall in the foreground as your guide. You'll notice an horizon, ( I am guessing is the Mersey. ) then the first silhouette of a building, ( Pole with burger looking construction ) is what I guess is St. Johns Beacon, the second silhouette of a building, ( Looks like a spikey crown. ) is what I think is the cathedral. ( Paddys Wigwam. ) I further believe that if the wall in the foreground of the picture wasn't there then we would view the tower of the other cathedral yet as I say this I don't believe the image is supposed to be narrowed down to anywhere in particular and is simply an example image of what 'perplexians' have taken of our world or what they have took of their own world thus communicating with the similarities between our worlds.

Hope that was a good enough indication. Wink

I guess it is an angle from the flats in Everton. I don't know anything for sure!

Excellent! You've convinced me! I agree with the fact the city pictured doesn't actually matter as http://tinyurl.com/3vnga . Cheers for the pics growfybruce

So yeah...that seems to be that London HAS gotta be important...but what's the history of other ARG's utilising their capital as a meeting/puzzle churning place?!

Suppose I'm just adding fuel! We only believe London is important as this ARG is based in the UK. Though I doubt we will be 'much' wrong with that assumption.

this is where we end up travelling all over the UK but totally avoid London because we expect London to be important Smile

It looks like a fit I have checked it against many a skyline of Liverpool and it fit's, however I can not find a sky scape taken from the same angel. I am now looking up the exact location of the building. Something tell's me that it may actually be a hotel or tourist location (hence the 50 note)

Buildings in the skyscape (different views): http://tinyurl.com/5p8gl
Metropolitan RC Cathedral: http://tinyurl.com/5p8gl
Liverpool Anglican Cathedral: http://tinyurl.com/5n7og

Street Map showing locations: http://tinyurl.com/4foze
The higher "Cath" is : Metropolitan RC Cathedral (spiky thing), the lower "Cath" is Liverpool Anglican Cathedral (castle looking thing).

So that would place where the building where the photo was taken from: Seacombe - Birkenhead.

I found this which seems to be in an approx location from where the photo was taken (I know it woon't be this because its wayyy too low). I thought I would share it because it is freaky and futuristic and the lady's head is disturbing me.

I am about to give up looking. Here is my last effort after all of the googling.

Here is a view from St John's Beacon: http://tinyurl.com/6l4wc

It could be the building's that are in the distance on the picture of Birkenhead. It might not be aswell.. *shrugs*.

I still can not get the exact angle. Anyone live near by and know the angle the photo was taken? and whether the sun is setting or rising?

What about Ankara, Turkey's capital?

Is there firm evidence to suggest that it is indeed Liverpool, or London? What about Ankara, Turkey?

This looks like the postcard building

And this is the skyline. Notice the building tops and their placement. Skyline

Closeup of needle building and another rooftop.

This one really shows off the multiple building with their rooftops - they just look so similar!

there is no way on earth that is taken from birkenhead because as Doof says your missing the liver buildings...you would have to be in one weird ass possition to cut them off and at the same time you'd most likely cut off the st Johns tower.

Also, the Anglican cathedral is one HUGE building and that should be on the skyline, after all theres only Hope street seperating the catholic one and the anglican one and as the catholic one has been suggested the anglican should be in there too. Especially as its on a huge frickin hill too.

I tweaked the balcony image with some hue, contrast and enlargement . . . I think there is more than meets the eye in this picture.

See what you think.
