grrr... if that's a true fact about Halo 2 single player - you just ruined a great plot element that I'd have loved to find out in game... spoiler tags should have the option of defining what exactly might get spoiled by reading it... Confused

Let me put it in simple terms:

iPod+Recording of Durga, Cortana, and the voice at the start, plus the m for mature thing, = Durga. Many, many people agreed with this point. I and some of them play halo... alot. Yeah. I guess that's a few more votes in favor.

That "thing" MC is holding onto when he flies out of the ship is odd. That scene reminds me of the scene shown in another trailer where MC opens the bay doors and drops into space heading towards Earth. But I dont remember him holding on to anything.

Yay I finally got my computer to play the commercial! (I think it was conflicting media players... Meh)

I think Jen Taylor has the nicest voice. I love her voice! 'Nuff said!

At first I thought that weird guy getting punched was a Jackel minus his shield. I dunno though. Ah well!

Has anyone seen the longer one? I heard there was a 30 second commercial and a 60 second one.

I've heard Melissa and Durga frequently, and I have to say it: I don't think it's Jen Taylor. Her voice as Cortana is distinctive, and when she's talking out of the Cortana character on the outtakes, she still sounds the same.

Now, it's not all that much of a stretch to think that she's altering her voice slightly, hell, even I can do a respectable parody of Durga if I really stretch my voice, but I'm not convinced.

Hopefully, in the end, we might find out, and I'll be proved wrong or right. *shrugs*

Definitely Durga. Jen Taylor has a deeper timbre - like Gabriel said, it's very distinctive. Jen's been doing voice acting for a while, and she does do dramatically different voices (i.e., she's supplied the voice for Peach, Daisy and Toad in several Mario games).

*Slightly OT* Just for the fun of it I just searched IMDB for "Durga" and came across this interesting result. (This has been a presentation of Complete Coincidence Theatre).

Ummm I think hat that thing on the left is almost surely a prophet. The way the head is haped, mouth is placed, and the length of the neck. Instead of pausing it use the slide at the bottom of your player to find the spot cause it gets rid of a little distortion. It looks exaclty like a prophet minus the head dress.
