[OT][HUMOR] Things I've learned from ilovebees.com...

Since the end of this ARG is iminent, we should reflect back upon our experience with fond memories. Not to mention all of the knowledge that we all have gained from ilovebees.com. We as a community should share this new found knowledge with each other so that we can all take away the same experiences as each other.

I for one have learned that:

...you should NEVER, under any circumstances, try to delete a rogue AI from your web server...

...Varro mites are the scourge of all small-time honey gathering operations...

...I should purchase a flea collar for my computer...

...weephun isn't a snitch, he's just missunderstood... Wink

EDIT: I spell funny...

Never try explaining an ARG to someone unless you're sure they're going to listen. So many people I've confused over the weeks in a vain attempt to explain my desire to get home really quick on Tuesdays and Fridays. Laughing

I have learned as the person above says, that trying to explain an ARG is extremely hard.

"So, what is the bees thing?"

"Why do you want me to take a picture of you beside a payphone, and why are you soluting?"

"Why are you always up so early on Tuesdays, when you sleep in every other day?"

"Why are you going to new york? what??"

"I don't understand..."

Me: Maybe you shouldn't <o:)

1. There are as many different kinds of pay phones as there are kinds of people...

2. Forget about the towels, all the hoopy froods have a $10 roll of quarters on them at all times.

3. Unrelated pieces of paper can cause quite a stir if you're not paying attention.

4. For better, or worse, no matter how large a group you're a part of, it's surprisingly easy for one person to make a difference... If you only believe you can. (Though sometimes, that's not required.)

5. Sometimes, something closer to the truth is easier to explain. ("We're a puzzle solving club." "I'm on a treasure hunt and I'm playing with other people from the Internet all over the world." "It's a game... And kind of hard to explain.")

Lunchtime on a Tuesday could come just about anytime within a 4 hour window, and last about an hour and a half.

I've learned that if you want to sell the lie, don't keep talking. good_grief.wav

my letterman style top 10 things I learned from ILB:

1) I have learned never to talk to vending machines!
2) don't get too attached to my avatar... it could bee gone tomorrow
3) tax collector's suck, and so do the repurcussions of that line of work
4) phaedra really IS an A.I.
5) triangles, lines, and dots are much more than geometric shapes.. yes, it is true
6) whatever it is I think I see becomes a honey bee to me
7) Gladys is more likely to appear on monsters inc than to be monster ann
Cool I am not as cool as jersey
9) Star wars IS still around in 2552... why else would the artifact have been in chewwie's base
10) Elvis could never sing Stormy Weather like Melissa.

TAKE IT AWAY PAUL!

Never make a website about your love for bees.

When a black rectangle pops up on your homepage saying 'MODULE CORE HEMMORAGE', it's never a good thing, and you should make a new website. Or complain to Bungie.

Scorpions rock.

Argon is bad.

Thin Kinkle is, and always will be, a bastard that no one loves. Not even his conscience.

I'll post more when I think of it.

Things I've learned:

=People will only understand if they have 20 minutes of free time to explain the ARG to.

=I nearly lost my girlfriend when I explained how I needed to dress up and go to a payphone.

=If I get more hyped for Halo 2, I will ASpLODE!

=Tuesdays are the new Fridays

=Quoting the sound files in front of friends who don't understand makes you look foolish. (Soon, everyone will cut chicken this way!!)

=The ILB community is awesome!

and finally,

=Jersey may be my long lost brother..
